Pedalling squares in London since 1989. Thursday, July 02, 2009. Point of view is everything. Perched on the saddle, rushing past lines of jammed traffic in London’s rush-hour, I feel supremely confident. I have twenty years of cycle commuting in the city to draw on. But take a step back, perched on a dining room stool, surfing through bike videos on the Internet and I seriously start to get the “fear”. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents ( ROSPA. Junctions for cyclists.”. And the films' na...

Dads whose coffee consumption has gone through the roof. And dads who need a bit of reassuring that they’re not alone. Who’s the daddy? Have a question or so...

Pedalling squares in London since 1989. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. THE MOTHER OF ALL PUNCTURES. Working on the edge of the Olympic Park for the duration of the London 2012 Olympics forced me to more than double my bike commute. My leisurely 9 mile jaunt through Richmond Park and across Hammersmith Bridge, turned into a 20 mile slog along the Thames embankment, past Big Ben, round Trafalgar Square, on to the City via St Pauls and along the Whitechapel Road. A studio with a view. The mother of all punctures.

Peaking for the world’s toughest cross race. Remember the ‘What am I on? 8217; Lance Armstrong advert? If not, here it is to refresh your memory. Some would say this ad is beyond parody, but that hasn’t stopped me trying. Here’s what I’m on…. Everybody wants to know what I’m on. Mostly, the sofa. But just wait until January. Then I’ll be on my bike at least six hours a week getting a sore arse. Unless it’s cold or raining. What are you on? Filed under: Monkey say. Feed for this Entry. I've been told...
