A rare look into the pemphigus experience. My experience of having this disease using the drawings I did while I was in hospital being treated for Pemphigus Vulgaris. Thursday, 29 September 2011. A little extra pain in the brain. One day I noticed there was some swelling in the side of my head and another swelling in my shoulder near my neck. One doctor said I should leave it and it'll go away. Another doctor said it would have to be drained so it might be a little painful. Oh, it sure did!

A rare look into the pemphigus experience. My experience of having this disease using the drawings I did while I was in hospital being treated for Pemphigus Vulgaris. Wednesday, 2 March 2011. The dressings are a big issue. I have a whole routine of the layers of steroid cream and sheets of that expensive silicon and tape that has to wrap around my body. It gets tiresome and I get weary of explaining but it has to be done and I have to be patient. I try to TRUST that each day will go well.

If only I had a long mirror. The Pemphegus monster is shrinking. The nurses continue to encourage me and even call other colleagues in, who have seen me weeks before to show them how much I have improved. If only you had a mirror so you could see! I am making peace with this monster who has become my world.
