Liberty Stars Quilt – In the beginning. April 19, 2015. Last year I signed up to Liberty Club #2 with Polka Dot Tea Fabrics. Liberty Stars Quilt – Stars 001-008. Or you can follow me @pescapresents. Liberty Stars Quilt – Star 009. I’ve chosen 1 ” 60 degree diamonds, each side of the diamond is 1 ” long, the angle of the acute (pointy) end is 60 degrees, and it takes 6 of the diamonds to create a full star: 6 x 60 degrees = 360 degrees, a full circle – woohoo maths! Libery Stars Quilt – Stars 010-012.

Petits Elefants: September 2013
http://mespetitselefants.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 9, 2013. A new project - and a quiltalong! I've been quilting as much as I can (which some weeks is not very much, unfortunately) and not blogging, as per usual. One project I've just started is the Marcelle Medallion, which I've wanted to tackle ever since I first saw versions appearing around the start of the year. It was bumped to the top of my to-do list thanks to the intervention of Penny. Penny is hosting a quiltalong on her blog - you can find the homepage for the quilt along here.

HandmadeRetro: September 2013

Sunday, September 22, 2013. More progress on the Marcelle Medallion. After I got the centre star sewn last week and added the first border I felt a little 'meh' about the colours I had chosen. In my head I had strong colours contrasting with black (where the low volume fabrics are used in the original) and on reflection I knew that the fabrics I had chosen weren't strong enough colours. So I started again. I used Color Scheme designer. I've added border 3 and next up are the flying geese. I've been makin...

Its a summer bag! So I'm supposed to be cleaning and decluttering my house over the Christmas break but I've sewn a summer bag instead! I was looking for some fabric a couple of days ago and happened upon some other fabric that I'd put aside to make a bag - when I think about it this bag has been on my to do list for quite a while - so I decided then and there to make it! Its a pretty quick bag to put together and I've made one before. So it was finished in a couple of afternoons! Links to this post.
