Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The Early Worm Gets the Bird, but not the Otter. Took a quick hike at Beaver Marsh in CVNP early yesterday morning. Lots of runners, hikers, dogs and other birders and photographers out. This intrepid hunter was about 25 feet off the Ira Road Trailhead path. They're usually pretty spooky, but this guy just didn't seem to have a care in the world, even when some guy on a cell phone stood next to me, chatting away. Labels: Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Tuesday, April 29, 2014. March to the End. I'll never understand the fascination with selfies. Don't like taking them, editing them, or posting them. No telling what possessed me to shot this one. Gaussian blur is my friend. Another new house - the second one this year. The economy is definitely picking up. Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Wine and Hot Cars. Old cars are the best, and an old car show at a beautiful winery? Gervasi Vineyard has a cruise-in on Wednesday nights all summer long. The love lavished on these classic vintage automobiles is visible in every glossy painted curve and chrome highlight. 50 Mercury, glowing in the evening sun. Thursday, June 19, 2014. It's been a really tough month. Working on this year-long photography project is a lifeline to normal, or maybe just the illusion of normal, good enough for now. Maybe it will help to keep the grieving at bay until pleasant memories return. This is the Haserot Angel at Lakeview Cemetery. Monday, June 22, 2015. Fiery Solstice Sunset, Cleveland Flats. Spent a fun evening with what seemed like a couple hundred other photographers at the Solstice Shoot in the Flats on Friday. March 22, 2014. It started with just rose bushes. This is part of the front of our 1920 house. See those nasty green bushes under our dining room window? I really, really, really dislike those bushes. It doesn't matter whose house they're at. Those types of bushes are ugly and I think date a house and make it look ugly too. Not to mention they are spider traps, as some people call them. Thank heavens I haven't seen too many in there! It will look so pretty and be so fragrant. There is, well, now was.

Friday, July 8, 2016. Hudson, Ohio has exceptional fireworks every year. Lucky us, one of my photographer buddies lives right next to the park where the fireworks display takes place. Not only did we enjoy a fun cookout, it was nice to shoot the fireworks with a bunch of photographer friends.
