Grays in the Shade. Northerners head south…. As I mentioned in a previous post, after our sister and brother-in-law left we had another set of fun visitors in for a week from Iowa. Lucky for us they had been reading about the Mayan ruins at Lamanai. We caught the first water taxi at 7 AM and traveled about an hour by car from Belize City to the New River. Lamanai means “submerged crocodile”. It was a Mayan City that was continuously occupied for over 3000 years. As I posted here. New River in the Rain.

By the time the weather was good for sailing, the boat had too much damage to sail, and so we had to motor the boat on a few beautiful sailing days on the Caribbean.
