Monday, August 3, 2009. So I totally neglected to keep tabs on the tour via this blog. This will be remedied. Tour has been going really well — so far, we've played three shows. Thursday was Nashville @ 5 Spot with Denney and the Jets/Daniel Pujol, ACTION! Sitting with mediocre coffee at a friendly coffee shop in Ukrainian village (? Of Chicago before we play at the Darkroom — Monday night in Chicago? Stay tuned for more updates and if you're in town, we'd love to see you at a show — be real.

So, I'd wanted to have kept a day by day blog summary of our time in Austin for the festival but that quickly went out the window due to late nights and constant running around town. All in all, it was a really good time. Here's my attempt at capping things off:. Tuesday: Got into Austin, went out for Thai, went to Vice on 6th street to see Max Justus do a set. I've made several posts. In the past archiving some of the letters and postcards that turn up in my purchases from used bookstores. I found a nice postcard while in Buffalo a few weeks ago. Unlike some of my past finds, this seems to be a less dated artifact (sometime between 1996 and 2000, judging from the 26-pence postcard stamp). The road ended, literally. The sun set, then rose a little while later. Music, quiet, water, and trees. Staying the same place for more than 24 hours- strange?
