GBP Blog: March 2011
http://gilesbabbidge.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, 17 March 2011. The Next Step (Evolution). When I set up this blog way back in March 2008. I had a very specific agenda in mind. This was to be the place where I would share my day-to-day thoughts, musings and activities so that you might get a glimpse into my world as a professional photographer. Three years later, and I hope you'll agree I've done just that. Certainly judging by the feedback from readers, I have. Then came In The Frame. The result, of course, will be a fuller, more vibrant and...

GBP Blog: I like picture books
http://gilesbabbidge.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-like-picture-books.html
Monday, 24 January 2011. I like picture books. One of my University lecturers once said that he hated 'picture books.' You know the sort of thing - coffee-table photography books which have little to no editorial in them, instead relying on the photographs themselves to get the message across. I can see his point. I don't necessarily agree, but I can see his point. By now, you will be aware of my Fountain Jam. Book project. I'll be editing, laying out and generally putting this together next month, b...

Monday, 3 May 2010. Fountain Jam - revealed. Spoiler alert - this post has nothing whatsoever to do with jam. Although I am rather fond of the stuff! Back in December, as part of my yearly ' Looking Ahead To.' post. One of my bullet points stated "Personal projects - research and develop further; possible exhibition? Well, regular readers will know that I am already involved with the Vobes-Babbidge Pinhole Camera Project. Feedback so far has been really positive, with many kind words which spur me on to ...

GBP Blog: September 2010
http://gilesbabbidge.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 1 September 2010. DIY - Suction mount. Going through a bunch of files on my computer earlier today, I came across a collection of DIY project images which I'd planned to share with you a while back via a 'how to' post. Well, better late than never. So, one of the fundamental elements of crisp, punchy photographs - much aside from good exposure and composition - is that of camera support. Back in the good old days, long before Canon's Image Stabilization. And Nikon's Vibration Reduction. 1x 1/4...

GBP Blog: Looking ahead to 2011
http://gilesbabbidge.blogspot.com/2011/01/looking-ahead-to-2011.html
Wednesday, 12 January 2011. Looking ahead to 2011. So, it's that time again - where I put down a few thoughts about what lies ahead in the next twelve months and, more importantly, what I would like to achieve. But before I do, I want to recap on what I said around this time last year. It's true to say, though, that my online activities have come on leaps and bounds this year. The most rewarding and promising of developments have undoubtedly been the creation of my Facebook page. For which I won an award.

The Blog of Steve Green. Amateur photographer travelling Europe in a motorhome and blogging about it. Aires and Wild Camping. 14th March – Monbazillac. I had wanted to visit Lourdes for a while as I find the religious aspect and peoples reactions to it quite fascinating. When we arrived we parked up and walked to have a look at the huge church there. With the backdrop of the snow capped mountains of the Pyrenees it’s quite a spectacular place, when you get there. Date : March 22, 2012. Different. Wri...
