Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Thoughts After Our First Two Weeks. Before I go to bed at night, I always check on the kids. Sometimes at night when I'm covering Makeda, I look at her little body in that big bed and am taken aback at the magnitude of what we're doing. Sunday, July 13, 2008. The boys had a very fun week! One thing they did was Thursday and Friday, a local church put on a kid's club at a park. They had relay games, parachute fun, face painting, a bounce house, songs, bible story time, and snow cones. And all of it was free! Elijah and Samuel had a great time! Tuesday, July 8, 2008. When Peyton Medick was 8 years old, she watched a news story about a little boy who did not know what the words breakfast, lunch and dinner were. Her heart broke for this little boy. She asked her parents are there children like that who live here? Peyton’s Parents explained food pantries and Peyton immediately wanted to help. Help us purchase a peyton's promise van! During the summer months, some kids go all day without food because they dont recieve free or reduced lunch from school.
