Thursday, March 25, 2010. A reflection on firsts. That being said, Isaiah and Makeda have been spending hours outside in the beautiful weather. Dedicated to Peyton Elizabeth Laricks and her courageous fight against CDH. On March 31st, 2008 Peyton Laricks was born with a birth defect known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, or CDH. When Peyton Medick was 8 years old, she watched a news story about a little boy who did not know what the words breakfast, lunch and dinner were. Her heart broke for this little boy. She asked her parents are there children like that who live here? Peyton’s Parents explained food pantries and Peyton immediately wanted to help. Help us purchase a peyton's promise van! During the summer months, some kids go all day without food because they dont recieve free or reduced lunch from school.
