The rain in spain. Monday, March 14, 2011. Additions to the yard. Over Christmas, my nephew Lucas brought along his chicken book along with plenty of stories of their backyard brood in Phoenix. I had been talking about getting chickens for some time and this was just the encouragement I needed to get started. We ended up with two Barred Rocks and a Rhode Island Red about 8 weeks old which Lucas, Andy and I picked out at Hawthorne Feed in Escondido. Everyone helped get the coop in place.

The rain in spain. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The daily grind by Phil. Friday night I went climbing at Woodson. Dick (which I've been reading for a couple of years now), and popped the trunk and took my pants (with the key in the pocket), my climbing backpack with my camera and some of my less expensive climbing gear (fortunately the cams were at home). Just a bad series of events. I'm taking Friday and Monday off work for the much anticipated climbing trip to Indian Creek, Utah. Trip update later.
