Just a jacobsonian day. Little fingerprints are smeared everywhere. Saturday, April 3, 2010. Day before Easter, 2010. Today, we went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was super-crowded, but a beautiful day nonetheless. I was at first disappointed that there were clouds obscuring the sun at times, but it ultimately was a good thing, bringing nice cool breezes to what would have otherwise been a hot, sticky day. Sara really liked the flowers and all the people passing by trying to make her smile.

Monday, September 28, 2009. I am going to try to explain the "mum" thing to my Arizona family! It is a southern tradition to exchange mums for homecoming. Apparently. The bigger and tackier the better. Yes-even the boys wear them on their arms. It is a very big deal! The goal is to have the biggest, tackiest (the kids don't call them tacky) mum at school. You do not wear the mum to the dance, but you do wear it to school on Friday and at the homecoming football game. Here is Preston posing with his mum!

Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Update on Rhea- Rhea. I wanted to post a quick update on Rhea-Lynn. She is right in the middle of treatment where she goes 5 days a week for focal radiation. They are hoping to shrink/ stop the tumors growth. She started loosing her hair in big clumps so she cut it super short (which is really cute) and also got this gorgeous wig! Can you say super model? Our amazing daddy takes her to most of her radiation treatments. Rhea-Lynn was feeling very sad and out of control when.

She got to have a birthday "season" as we like to call it in my family:) She started off her season with a little family party. She got a new desk from mom and dad (pictures were too dark! Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Every year our neighborhood throws a big fall festival. It is really fun and all the kids dress in their. Halloween costumes. This year Rachel decided to be a ladybug like her cousin Meadow in Arizona! That's one cute ladybug! Their was an amazing face painter there. Look at this gorgeous face! The Untold Stories of. Saturday, March 22, 2014. So I was certain I had posted these. I guess I can chalk it up to baby brain. It snowed A LOT a month or so ago for like 3 days straight. The best part was after the storm had passed it all melted away and didn't linger for weeks like we're used to. Eli loved the snow! He could have played in it forever! The first batch of snow. Which was already more than the area had seen in many years. Taking a break. Found him sitting in his flimsy shopping cart :).

I am sure that everybody beside and behind me thinks that I am not paying attention, but they don't realize that the more occupied I am, the more I am able to absorb. Perhaps that is why I don't require my students to be statues as I teach. Anyway, I am at a conference in Orlando: my first District paid for event!
