Another Piece to Our Puzzle: Cleaning up & Cleaning out
http://alexashjohnson.blogspot.com/2012/01/cleaning-up-cleaning-out.html
Another Piece to Our Puzzle. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Cleaning up and Cleaning out. In my last post I'd talked about the shelving and what not that we were going to put up in our laundry room. For those of you who missed it, here is the original layout. We have found multiple things that are not up to code or not done properly and it's just a bit frustrating. Back to the drawing board I went. This time I changed it up a little, what if we put the cabinet in the middle and a rod on each side?

Taylor, Melissa, Trevor and Rachel: The Boys
http://taylorandmelissaking.blogspot.com/2012/02/boys.html
Wednesday, February 15, 2012. These two boys are best friends, so much so that they even wear matching outfits! I put Trevor in a red shirt, jeans and a white hoodie one morning and when Taylor saw him, he went and put on the same outfit. I love how proud Taylor is of his boy. Taylor also just finished up co-chairing GW's Religious Freedom Moot Court Competition. For the past year he's been setting everything up for this competition that schools from all around the country came to compete in. Taylor is c...

Taylor, Melissa, Trevor and Rachel: January 2012
http://taylorandmelissaking.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. A Month of Firsts! Someone just turned one month old! I can't believe it's been a month already. Part of me feels like he was just born, but then part of me feels like he's always been in our lives and I can't remember how it was before him. This has been the most exciting month though because everything he does seems to be a first for something. Obviously, one of his biggest firsts was his first Christmas! We were so excited that he was born in time to be home for Christmas!

Another Piece to Our Puzzle: Boys will be boys
http://alexashjohnson.blogspot.com/2012/02/boys-will-be-boys.html
Another Piece to Our Puzzle. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Boys will be boys. A couple weeks ago we went over to Alex's parents to celebrate his birthday with dinner and cake. Alex's mom had found this cute little truck that Luke 'helped' assemble. It's a lot like the old cars except that now you have a floorboard that you can put in until their feet can reach the ground. Since we didn't get a garden in last summer our back yard just grew and grew, or at least our garden area did. We had weeds that wer...

Another Piece to Our Puzzle: Cedar Creek Grist Mill
http://alexashjohnson.blogspot.com/2012/03/cedar-creek-grist-mill.html
Another Piece to Our Puzzle. Friday, March 9, 2012. Cedar Creek Grist Mill. We've wanted to go to the Grist Mill for a couple years now but things have always gotten in the way. It wasn't open today but we were able to walk around the outside and take some pictures. I'm hoping to go up their in October for their apple cider festival. I have to say I kind of fell in love with this bridge. I don't know what it is but I love old covered bridges, always have and probably always will. In all the pictu...

Taylor, Melissa, Trevor and Rachel: Two Months!
http://taylorandmelissaking.blogspot.com/2012/03/two-months.html
Thursday, March 1, 2012. Trevor just turned 2 months old! I still can't believe how fast time is flying! It seems like he was just my squishy little newborn! Now, he seems like such a big boy. He loves to play with his little jungle gym and will laugh hysterically while he hits the little toys over and over. He also "talks" like crazy. Lots of "oooh" and "ahh-gooo"! Here he is in his new ones compared to the little ones. Apparently, I don't make milk, I make straight cream. He took the shots like a champ!

Another Piece to Our Puzzle: Our life in a nut shell
http://alexashjohnson.blogspot.com/2012/07/our-life-in-nut-shell.html
Another Piece to Our Puzzle. Sunday, July 1, 2012. Our life in a nut shell. No this is not the original, this one has been cropped and I added an effect that makes it look older but it is my absolute favorite picture, mainly because I caught Luke with his leg in the air. Early June we met up with Alex's sister down at the Rose Festival. It gave us some time out of the house a Luke was just a bit attached (and worried) about his aunty going on all those rides that took her way up in the air. Anyways one o...

Another Piece to Our Puzzle: Busy Bees and Christmas Trees
http://alexashjohnson.blogspot.com/2011/12/busy-bees-and-christmas-trees.html
Another Piece to Our Puzzle. Saturday, December 17, 2011. Busy Bees and Christmas Trees. Other than the business, keeping up with the house, and keeping up with this growing adventurous little boy, I've been busy making gifts. Every year I go through the same thing of "what do I get for? For the two boys I made "Hawaii Bags" They needed something to take on the plane as a carry on so each boy got a homemade bag big enough to fit some of their drawing books and stuff along with game boys and what ever els...

The Empty Nest: Little More DC
http://phillippiphamily.blogspot.com/2011/04/little-more-dc.html
The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Saturday, April 23, 2011. I thought I had added these on my last post but I guess they got lost somehow. These trees are near Melissa's office and I thought they were really pretty. This is Tom in Lafayette Park. One of his favorite books, Hell's Corner by David Baldacci, is based here so it was fun to go look through the park and remember the different scenes from the book. We wished there was a Lost Symbols tour because that is another favorite :).
