Make Your Own Incubator. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Between me and the barn. This morning is this. It's a good thing my wonderful hubby got me these two weeks ago! See the little inset on the page to the right? The Early Look at winter? We are right on the outside edge of "colder" than normal for October! I love the weather here in the Texas Panhandle! Maybe we will have snow before Halloween like we did last year! I am finally back to my blogs! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Getting through the winter.

Make Your Own Incubator. Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Light bulb goes off - Elevated Plant Stand. The other day, I was assessing the situation with my house plants. I have four African Violets and they do best right beside my window in the kitchen. BUT I cannot seem to get them in the precise place to get enough sun. So, I balanced two of them in the window sill and the other two on top of jars. Well.you guessed it, they kept getting knocked over. Here's where the light bulb went off. I let it dry for 2...

Make Your Own Incubator. Saturday, March 30, 2013. Because I needed this today. Repost from times past. When we lived in the Houston area, one of Gregory's therapists gave us this story (for lack of a better word). It was soon after Gregory's formal diagnosis of autism, and she knew we could use some inspiration. The Beauty of Holland". By Emily Perl Kingsley. You say. 'What do you mean, Holland? I signed up for Italy! I'm supposed to be in Italy. All my life I've dreamed of going to Italy.'. So you must...

Heritage Homemaker: August 2013
http://heritagehomemaker.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Make Your Own Incubator. Sunday, August 4, 2013. I have been thinking, for quite some time, about getting a family cow. I am pretty set on the Jersey breed, mostly due to first and foremost, wanting to have fresh milk. Second, meat. Another reason I would like to have a family cow is to help with the grass/weed control mostly in the corral, but also in some other areas of the place. Here are the books to which I am deciding between which to order:. Has anyone read any of these? Do you have a family cow?

Heritage Homemaker: June 2013

Make Your Own Incubator. Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Just a few days makes! I am so sad, though, because I hate the "thinning out" part of gardening. It makes me sad to have to pull up those baby plants and just toss them away. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. What's in my garden? Today I finished getting everything in the garden! I haven't had a garden in ummmmm.30 years, since I was in high school. I am so excited! Cannot wait for the next few months to pass and see what all goodies I harvest!

Heritage Homemaker: May 2013
http://heritagehomemaker.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Make Your Own Incubator. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. For the first time ever in my life, I experienced running from a tornado (rather tornadic weather). The storm sat about an hour and a half away from us for several hours yesterday evening. About 9pm, the "super-cell" began to move eastward/northeastward toward Amarillo. It took me nearly 20 minutes to wake up Felicity and Gregory, pack a quick bag, gather the dogs and get into the truck and head to town. We heard this over the radio as we pulled into the ...

Make Your Own Incubator. Friday, July 26, 2013. Today was quite a day here on our little place. Started out with the first real harvest. I have picked a few items here and there over the past several days, but this was the first *haul*. Then upon returning from town, picking up the children, we found that Maybelline has hatched her first baby! Finally, I made the first batch of canned goods of the season this evening. It has been 2 years since I canned anything. Jalapeno jelly! Links to this post. I will...
