Wednesday, September 17, 2014. There were other things that needed to be done before it was ready to use. The wheel had to be glued back together and the flier had a crack that also needed glueing. Then a new drive band and it was ready to take for a spin. I think this wheel will do nicely for what I was looking for but you know what? I am so glad I got to post this week! Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Today I wound another placemat warp. This time I am using Christmas colors. I am hoping the weft I have chosen for this warp works well with it. Friday, October 31, 2014. No longer having wifi at home really hinders my blog posting. I could go somewhere like the library but that is not convenient. We had to work like the dickens yesterday, and will have more to do tomorrow, but we are closed today. I don't have any labor at home planned, either, but I would like to weave that blue-green scarf off the loom today. I have the warp for the baby blankets wound and waiting, and I have a slinky black bamboo warp waiting to woven into sexiness soon.

Warm enough to wear yesterday, and is seen hanging from the Red Bud tree that is about to burst into copious bloom. But the garden beckoned, and is now about 2/3 tilled and weeded. The leaves in the front yard finally got raked and composted. I had to be content with admiring my morning's work- 6 hours to finish the dress! And enjoying the rest of a beautiful early spring day. That worked up perfectly!
