Farewell to our Elms. Feb 13, 2015. Just before Christmas 2014 we received some bad news…. The eight Elm trees in the Pines Garden had got Dutch Elm Disease. Following consultation with the Tree Officer of Dover District Council we have been instructed to to remove all of these trees. The main trunks will then be sterilised using a steamer to remove the fungus from the now dead wood and allow it to be repurposed in the future.
