Mania Tkania: stycznia 2015
http://maniatkania.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Niedziela, 4 stycznia 2015. Echo, echo, echo. Przyczyny upa...

Portia's Cloth: Sheep Show 2016
http://portiascloth.blogspot.com/2016/07/sheep-show-2016.html
Tuesday, 19 July 2016. Here I am, back after a lengthy break, no dramas, it's just that time of the year when everything has to be kept under wraps. I sent 4 scarves to the Geelong scarf festival, but won't know what is happening with them until later in the year unless I make a trip there. I was very happy with these waves in a hand spun wool variegated yarn and fine wool weft in advancing twill. And the third version of the snakeskin, this time in coral. I'd seen a Burda. And finished up with this.

Portia's Cloth: December 2014
http://portiascloth.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 December 2014. Christmas tea towels 2014. I’ve done a little new weaving during the break but wanted to write about this year’s Christmas tea towels first. A few years ago I started making a run of tea towels for gifts and they seem to be a success because my friends now ask hopefully ‘will there be tea towels this year? I ended up with 14 towels, all a bit different, some with squares, some with rectangles and almost all with different colour combinations for the tabby and pattern weft.

Portia's Cloth: A little weaving and a little gardening
http://portiascloth.blogspot.com/2016/11/a-little-weaving-and-little-gardening.html
Monday, 28 November 2016. A little weaving and a little gardening. And showing more detail here. However it’s the last market for the year next Sunday, so I have reluctantly returned to the tea towels. I managed to do the first 3 with small squares. But I’ve moved on the other designs with longer blocks. And fewer colour changes. Earlier this year I replanted the garden bed at the top of my drive and included some kangaroo paws, called that, because they look like, you guessed it, kangaroo paws. Falling ...

Portia's Cloth: Something new – or maybe very old
http://portiascloth.blogspot.com/2016/10/something-new-or-maybe-very-old.html
Monday, 17 October 2016. Something new – or maybe very old. When I bought my Toika loom in 2006 in the last year of my weaving certificate course, it was advertised as having a a draw loom attachment. Sure enough it had 4 levers along the front of the castle and a couple of brackets on either side, just one lever and one bracket shown here. There were no instructions and despite emailing Toika and looking at various books, magazines and websites I could not find any explanations or anything similar.

The Inquisitive Weaver: Colour gamps
http://theinquisitiveweaver.blogspot.com/2014/03/colour-gamps.html
Saturday, 8 March 2014. I love colour, it think when you make something it's often the colour that matters the most. I came across this article on Pinterest from Weavezine on colour gamps. It has three beautiful patterns for colour camps and lots of information. So go check it out for inspiration! I only wish lunatic fringe yarn was cheaper in the UK! As I would buy all the colours and do it myself! Here is the link. http:/ weavezine.com/content/color-gamps. Have you woven a colour gamp? YarnMaker no....

The Inquisitive Weaver: February 2014
http://theinquisitiveweaver.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 February 2014. A book binding break. So last week was a little holiday for me, I needed it badly. I am feeling much happier, although I seemed to have spent the week fighting a bug. I guess that's just what happens when you start to relax. I enjoyed jumping back on top of my little business on Monday but I really enjoyed the week off! At the same time I am drawing little illustrations to accompany the story. I'm not sure what style of drawing I want to do but I like kawaii manga best :).

Fiberewetopia: 12/01/2014 - 01/01/2015
http://fiberewetopia.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Fiberewetopia: At the intersection of spinning, weaving and knitting. Sunday, December 21, 2014. A Rose Path for the Solstice. You know the kind of rosepath I mean:. Then came Lisa Hill's. In the process I achieved another objective of cleaning out my yarns and such for the winter solstice. Of course, this only used up two little, miserable orphan hanks of a mohair-linen yarn. YeahI know: mohair and linen? I know from experience that brushed mohair yarns in the warp are a weaver's folly.and yet I thr...
