But I’m starting to find my niche, and I’m always happy when I feel useful. Also, they have a tradition known only as ‘pizza fridays’, of which I very much approve. 3) RSVPs are starting to come back for our wedding! Monday, July 18, 2005. Peppermint Twist - April-July 2005. I thought the stripy knitting would never end, but suddenly it did! Knitting with cotton was gorgeous, and once I've recovered from quite how long it took I will absolutely do that again. It's so neat and tidy and pretty, and the finished product drapes beautifully. Friday, December 30, 2005. Rainbow socks - December 2005. My favourite thing about socks? That they are recognisably themselves as you're knitting them - there's no making up, nothing needed to finish them off apart from a bit of kitchener grafting and weaving in the ends. This is easily my favourite garment to date, and not only was it relatively simple to knit (and satisfying to do a knitted-on collar) but it fits like a dream and is lightweight, warm and comfortable.
