The Eggman Studios Notebook: Busy Bee
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013/08/busy-bee.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The tiny paintings are now live. I'm pleased as pie with how they all look together, quirky little things that they are. The bumble bee piece ("Escaped") just sold, but there are plenty of others waiting for new homes to fly off to! The sun is shining, I have a coffee date with a good pal, and have been making good progress on yet more paintings. Feeling both inspired and productive, which is always a hard combo to achieve. Hope your week is going well! Posted by Eggman Studios.

The Eggman Studios Notebook: December 2012

Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Woodland Sprites and Sugar Plum Fairies. It's that time of year again! As I sit here on my couch with a cup of tea in one hand, sketchbook in the other, and a warm cuddly cat on my legs I feel most content and happy. Life is pretty grand, indeed. I hope you have a cozy and pleasant Christmas and holiday season! Thank you so much for your support and kind words, folks. Posted by Eggman Studios. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The Eggman Studios Notebook: August 2012

Friday, August 10, 2012. Art Journal Part IV: Ice World. Some day, I'd really like to visit Antarctica (preferably to do research). I realized a month or two ago that my "list of places I most want to see" is dominated by cold-climate locales. Antarctica, Iceland, Northern Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands. Then again, my closet is also dominated by sweaters and coats (I don't even own a pair of shorts). Guess that says a lot. Posted by Eggman Studios. Wednesday, August 08, 2012. New in the shop. Each pac...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: September 2010
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. It's cloudy and drizzly and dark today.my favorite kind. The midday natural light was so soft and dim that I quickly snapped a couple photos of a portion of my natural history collection display shelf. Stacks of urchins and jars of feathers. An old book plate depicting varieties of anemones that I framed up a while back. Crab shells and rocks and various bits and bobs. Posted by Eggman Studios. Sunday, September 05, 2010. Acrylic and gold composite leaf on illustration board.

The Eggman Studios Notebook: July 2011
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Scout's honor, I really did not mean to take such a long blogland siesta. Truly. Life sorta fell in my lap and had me in its clutches these past months. Mostly, I've just been so crazily busy with my science classes that any blog/art updates were out of the question. Also, somewhere along the way a computer died- I may have wept. I'm excited. And seriously looking forward to taking. Devoted to marine invertebrate study. Yes, please. I know that after such a long hiatus it's pretty...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: September 2011
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 06, 2011. As promised, I have some in-progress quilt peeks to share! I only have a fraction of this neat black crane fabric and I've been holding onto it for the past couple of years waiting for the right project to come along. I'm so glad to finally get to incorporate it into this quilt. I think this tiny little bit is my favorite part of the patchwork so far. It looks like the woolen fabrics ripped apart and the minty floral is tearing through. Posted by Eggman Studios. You may remem...

Saturday, July 28, 2012. Within Pools Of Sea Stars And Barnacles. The octopus painting I alluded to earlier is in. Phantom of the Abyss. Acrylic and gold composite leaf on cradled hardboard. It's so gorgeous there, with lots of different substrates and ocean-worn eye candy. The tide pools are seen at low tide along the lava rocks (formed eons ago). You never know what you'll come across. A small blood star. A large ochre star. A sea star the size of a thumbnail. Perhaps a green anemone. A deep sea arctic...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: February 2013
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 18, 2013. They smelled of moss in your hand. I'm working- I promise! And I also promise that there *will* be a shop. Update soonish (I know I keep saying that- it'll happen, guys! I somehow got slammed these past two weeks with midterms, lab practicals, presentations, and deadlines for research symposium applications. But there's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel, and I can see it. Whew! Posted by Eggman Studios. Sunday, February 03, 2013. If you've stumbled across my Facebook ...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: Metridium Tea
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013/09/metridium-tea.html
Sunday, September 01, 2013. I've been busily plugging away at a new body of work that I'm very excited about. It's a bit of a sea-meets-land series of paintings, but with a heavy slant towards the sea. Composed of surreal still lifes and encounters between lesser-appreciated marine organisms and more familiar terrestrial residents, it combines many of my favorite things (nudibranchs! But I thought I'd post a few snippets and behind-the-scenes views in the meantime. How could I resist? 1) Jan 2010: "Endan...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: Shop Update!
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013/03/shop-update.html
Tuesday, March 26, 2013. The hooded nudibranch isn't lying: there will be a shop update on Monday, April 1st. Around noon West Coast time or 3pm East Coast time). Finally! And no, I promise it isn't an April Fool's prank. My time in school is officially winding down and I only have one more quarter left. These past couple of quarters have been an absolute whirlwind and I know this upcoming one will be as well- but there's light at the end of the tunnel! Posted by Eggman Studios. Peruse the Archive }.
