Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Are you ready for the surprise if Romney wins the nomination. Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Should Women Preach pt. 2. In my last article, I raised the question as to whether women should preach. Now, I did write that I am looking at this question in a very narrow sense. I will not be raising the egalitarian. Arguments nor address them here. If you would like more information regarding this movement and the damage they are causing, feel free to go here. My intention is to raise a concern that seems to be more popular amongst complimentarians. Prior to this chapter, Pau...

Thursday, April 22, 2010. Public Schools: What should the Christian Do? Christians agree that the public school system has rejected God and is now a source for human naturalism, just ask why creation is no longer taught at your local high school or middle school. Yet, we insist on fighting a fight that seems to be hinging on the incredulous. AFA has done a documentary entitled, Speechless: Silencing the Christians. And they [school officials] said, ‘That is correct.’” [1]. Now some of us may quickly thin...
Ponderings of a Puritan: May 2010
http://ponderingpuritan.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 25, 2010. After so many years, one would think that this issue has been resolved. Yet, it is still provoking angst amongst many a Christian. In this article we will not be going over the old ground of complementarianism. It is when we come to the church setting; the setting of public worship; the gathering of the saints that the problem arises. Should, in this context, a woman be able to preach? In part two of this series, I will define, ‘teaching,’ and ‘authority,’ a...Links to this post.

Ponderings of a Puritan
Monday, June 17, 2013. Is it possible that angels can reproduce? It was a question asked during a spirited debate regarding a good understanding of Gen. 6:1-4. It is an interesting question that was spawned out of when angels were created, how much do we really know, and can we know with any certainty. I would like to look at this briefly in hopes of addressing the opening question. First, when were angels created? In all honesty, Scripture is unclear as to when they were created. John 1:1-3 states, R...
Pondering purpose - Home
Life can be so much more fulfilling if you align your career with an underlying life purpose. So many of us simply go through the motions in our jobs and think that some day we'll figure out what we really want to do. Our jobs are "good enough". But I hear the clock ticking and feel compelled to define my life mission and find true purpose in a career. Think of the last time you were in a situation where things didn’t go as you had planned. Did you improvise to achieve what you wanted anyways? Thankfully...

Pondering Quilting
An attempt to corral myself. View my complete profile. May 18, 2015. This is Diane's hexagon quilt. She had pieced all the hexagon's together, then appliqued them onto the border. This is the bottom row. She wanted a very lose design on the hexagons and a feather border. I did the feathers freehand. This is an overall design, I used Autopilot for the center. Diane used an aged muslin for the back. Well, Diane was very happy with her finished quilt! May 16, 2015. Close up of the feather design and leaves.
