An affectionate look at Porthmeor Beach, St. Ives. July 26, 2015. Saturday 25th July saw a mass invasion of jellyfish on Porthmeor Beach. From the high water mark to the very edge of the ocean there were successive strand lines of Moon Jellyfish ( Aurelia Aurita ). The waters themselves had thousands drifting in the shallows. I found numerous aquarium fish-keeping websites offering moon jellyfish for sale as pets. The price for one was generally about 35 in the UK! A Long Way From Home. June 16, 2015.
