KNEAD...WEAVE...GROW: SPINACH AND PESTO (and a Ballerina)
http://joanne-kneadweavegrow.blogspot.com/2015/05/spinach-and-pesto-and-ballerina.html
Bread, fiber, children, winter, sun, garlic, some of what I love. Thursday, May 28, 2015. SPINACH AND PESTO (and a Ballerina). Elsa had her recital on Saturday, a lovely little ballerina she was! Jonel and Andy grow spinach in a cold frame and it has been prolific, and I, thankfully have been a recipient of much of it. Huge, sweet leaves. Served with linguini, pesto, and grating of cheese. It was so fresh and decidedly delicious. Fresh from the garden lettuce salad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://joanne-kneadweavegrow.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Bread, fiber, children, winter, sun, garlic, some of what I love. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Today, Sunday, is another glorious day. This autumn, at least so far, is absolutely stunning, and the weather has been the best we've had all year. I have just returned from a bike ride where this tree is only one of many. Whose colors are unbelievable. The reports are that Autumn's peak will not be until the 3rd week in October, but that is really hard to believe at this point. Links to this post. Each year I w...

http://the-sweeties.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Adventures of The Sweeties. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Happy 5th Birthday Wyatt. We celebrated Wyatt's 5th birthday back in January, January 6th to be exact. Wyatt decided he wanted a pirate party so that is of course that is what we did. We had a special guest appearance, our favorite librarian came over and read the kids a pirate story,. We dug for treasure,. Smashed the pirate piñata,. Scrambled for the loot,. Ate some fancy pirate cake,. Had the pirates sing birthday songs,. Then swabbed the decks.

http://the-sweeties.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Adventures of The Sweeties. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Summer is FINALLY here, yippee! Life on the homestead is getting busy. We decided to raise pigs again this year. We went out to the farm and Wyatt picked out these two cute little buggers and named them "Muddy" and "Dirty". They have grown really quickly, the above picture was in late May and below less than a month later. They should grow to be about 7 pounds. Wow, this has been a whirlwind of blogging for me! Time to sign off, thanks for checking in.

http://the-sweeties.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Adventures of The Sweeties. Monday, February 22, 2010. Wyatt turned three on January 6th. We didn't do too much, we celebrated with cupcakes and a birthday story from Miss Nancy at library and had some more cake at home with the family and Ellen. So we survived the terrible twos and they were not terrible so we will see what three brings. The day after we had a moose in the garden. Wyatt was very excited but the dogs who bark at everything that goes bump didn't even see it! Ellie, Jeff, Wyatt and Sam.

Adventures of The Sweeties: Getting Outside
http://the-sweeties.blogspot.com/2012/06/getting-outside.html
Adventures of The Sweeties. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. We packed up the family and drove to Denali Park back in early May. The park was not officially open yet so you can camp for free in the campground and drive 30 miles on the park road. This Ptarmigan was the first animal spotted. We were driving along and Wyatt yells STOP! So we stopped and he said he saw a ptarmigan and we had to back up to look for it. We backed up and saw nothing so started driving again and again he yelled STOP! Are you wondering wh...

KNEAD...WEAVE...GROW: THE BOUNTY
http://joanne-kneadweavegrow.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-bounty.html
Bread, fiber, children, winter, sun, garlic, some of what I love. Monday, August 10, 2015. I never cease to be astonished at the variety, depth of color, and brilliance of zinnias, my favorite flower. They are in profuse bloom right now, and our house abounds with their beauty. Two years ago I started planting San Marzano tomatoes, the first choice of tomatoes in Italy. I have not been sorry. The plants are loaded and have been ripening now for a couple of weeks. Organic Valley's Raw Milk Jack cheese shr...
