ellen's 52: September 2012
http://ellens52.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 September 2012. I made a chocolate birthday cake this weekend, for my nephew. He plays a lot of minecraft so I wanted to make a cube-y cake and stumbled on an idea a bit like this while searching for 'easy cake decorating for numpties' ideas. I had made some eyes for a cake I'm going to be making later in November so thought. I'd hide a few zombie cubes in the pile. Can you spot them? Friday, 21 September 2012. And give unwary customers a jump. Not a bad life, eh? Saturday, 15 September 2012.

The Next Phase: 2015 Reading Challenge
http://nextphase56.blogspot.com/p/2015-reading-challenge.html
I found this reading challenge on Pinterest . 2015 Reading Challenge. There's 50 books to get through in a year (technically 52, as one is a trilogy), which I think is a tall order but I'm going to give it a go in an effort to diversify my reading choices this year. 1 A book you own but have never read. The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Tracey Chevalier (finished January 6th). 2 A book written by someone under 30. White Teeth by Zadie Smith (finished 17th January). 3 A Pulitzer prize winning book. Beach...

ellen's 52: October 2012
http://ellens52.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 11 October 2012. Can't believe I forgot. To post that this weekend, I only went and saved the whole world. No biggie :-). Amongst the games we now have in our stash is Pandemic, in which four or five players work together to save the world from global disaster. It really is non competitive and the four of us spent an hour really debating how each of us in turn could do our bit to make sure disaster was contained and then cured. But that's saved for another weekend! Saturday, 6 October 2012.

Just so...: so little time...
http://justso-sandra.blogspot.com/2015/05/so-little-time.html
Sunday, 31 May 2015. Just every now and then, I'd really like the world to pause a bit. I seem to have next to no time to spend with family or friends and an incessant list of things to do, mostly related to work. 'Time off' feels like a never event and this year is passing in a blur. And walked a 13 mile circular trip up to West Runton via Norfolk's high point at Beacon Hill, before heading on to Cromer and back to Felbrigg. Lovely sunshine heading through woodland. We decided to head up to the coast ag...

Just so...: July 2014
http://justso-sandra.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 25 July 2014. We have had some truly beautiful days lately. Frustratingly most of them I glimpse through the window at work now and again, and I have struggled to get away early enough to enjoy the warm evenings. But a couple of evenings ago, we just decided to take something to eat and catch the last hour of sun at Whitlingham Broad. The light was lovely. Tom was looking a bit wistful staring into the distance. As we watched the sun dip behind the trees. Loving this warm weather. The light was a...

Just so...: September 2014

Monday, 22 September 2014. Living the dream - things that memories are made of. My youngest son and I have shared something of an obsession with VW campers for some years now. We have admired them at our local VW festival, oohed and aahed when we spot one on the road and planned our 'if we win the lottery.' trip round the world. (We don't actually do the lottery, minor detail.). Check out their website if you are a VW fan - they have some lovely vans! The following day saw us heading on to Devon, with a ...

Just so...: February 2014
http://justso-sandra.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 15 February 2014. This week was a tricky one, not helped by the miserable weather. Much as I don't want to wish the days away, I am really struggling with winter blues at the moment and feel sure that things will feel brighter when the weather picks up. Feels like the barometer has been stuck on this for forever. And twice this week I have been soaked to the skin in spite of multiple layers and an attempt to keep some of the rain off. Don't think I have ever used my umbrella quite so much!

Just so...: December 2014
http://justso-sandra.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 21 December 2014. Time seems a bit stacked against us all this week with so much to do but just wanted to say quickly how much I appreciate all your kind thoughts after my last post. It is comforting to know I'm not going crazy and other people have a sense of where I'm at - I've lost count of the times I've been told to just 'get out there' (not ready to do that yet! So your empathy, words and virtual hugs was overwhelming. I am doing ok I think and guess time will do its thing eventually. I val...

Just so...: Photo scavenger hunt
http://justso-sandra.blogspot.com/p/photo-scavenger-hunt.html
I got caught up with Kathy's photo scavenger hunt. Idea early in 2011 and got hooked. I love the fact that it has made me think a bit about what is around me and I love to look at the way others interpret the themes. I've had a few months when I haven't managed all (or indeed any some months! But am tackling it again this year with renewed determination and enthusiasm! Follow the flickr link in my sidebar to have a look at photos in the group. Do you see what I see? Left to right and top to bottom:.
