Post Punk Pixie Dust: Things Involving a Fiendish Anniversary
http://postpunkpixiedust.blogspot.com/2012/12/things-involving-fiendish-anniversary.html
Post Punk Pixie Dust. Links, rants and other things of interest to very few people. Sunday, 2 December 2012. Things Involving a Fiendish Anniversary. Eventually I will write up all those shenanigans I promise! I was kicking myself for being late (I have no idea what tracks I missed, alas) but I needn't have worried, because the Fiends had an amazing three hour. I still haven't quite gotten over that. Three hours of live Fiendishness! Mrs Fiend and whoever the doctor fellow was on guitars. Mrs Fiend on gu...

Post Punk Pixie Dust. Links, rants and other things of interest to very few people. Monday, 31 October 2011. Just a quick one today, because I'm lazy and I don't really have much to say, but I can't let my favourite day of the year pass without a post now can I? Well, here's a couple of video links to keep yourself topped up. In keeping with this joyous occasion, I'm pleased to report that my favourite kids' TV show, Young Dracula. If you're after something spooky this Samhain, though, here. I mean, look...

Post Punk Pixie Dust. Links, rants and other things of interest to very few people. Tuesday, 6 November 2012. Things Involving Cabaret and Sleep Deprivation. Gig review time again! Actually there'll be a few posts over the next few days, as there are plenty of antics that I need to get around to documenting, but let's start with the most recent, shall we? And Goth Girls In Southern California. And, my favourite, No New Tale to Tell. Plus a few glorious Bauhaus tracks, All We Ever Wanted. Which is absolut...
Post Punk Pixie Dust: February 2012
http://postpunkpixiedust.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Post Punk Pixie Dust. Links, rants and other things of interest to very few people. Sunday, 26 February 2012. Things Involving an Evening of Music. It's gig review time! Last night I left work, leapt onto the bus and made my way up to London and into the sticky-floored rabbit warren of Slimelight once more as the club was hosting a frankly rather eclectic night of music, headlined by the Beauty of Gemina, a band you may remember me raving about catching them at last year's M'era Luna. Next up were Cryoge...

Emma's Online Sketchbook: Portrait Project Final Piece
http://emmasonlinesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011/06/portrait-project-final-piece.html
An online sketchbook for a National Diploma in Art and Design level 3. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Portrait Project Final Piece. Unfortunately I forgot to bring in my camera so I don’t have progress shots for this one. The foreground, the portrait itself, proved a lot more difficult. I tried to trace the rough positions of features using an overhead projector but things kept jogging it making it difficult to put things in the right place. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Emma's Textile Sketchbook: March 2011

An online sketchbook-come-blog for Textile Design. Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Floral Patterns Around the House. Thinking back to the Flora and Fauna project, I was surprised by just how many flora patterns I could find. These four came from just two small rooms. Emma's Textile Sketchbook: May 2011
http://emmastextilesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
An online sketchbook-come-blog for Textile Design. Sunday, 22 May 2011. Tree of Life final piece. I rather foolishly forgot to take pictures of my final piece for the Tree of Life project, however I do have a few happy snaps of the work in progress. Here's the felt piece, with thicker felt at the trunk, layers of cobweb felt, thicker felt and fabric to form the foliage and cobweb felted roots, which I divided into three distinct parts to represent the three roots of Yggdrasil. Labels: tree of life.

Emma's Online Sketchbook: Interesting styles of painting
http://emmasonlinesketchbook.blogspot.com/2011/06/interesting-styles-of-painting.html
An online sketchbook for a National Diploma in Art and Design level 3. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Interesting styles of painting. More research for th portrait project. My own photo from Pallant House Gallery in Chichester. I've got to admit, it took me a few moments and a few steps back to realise that this was a portrait (and I felt a bit of a fool) but once I realised, I was amazed by the depth of emotion and character Aurebach could show with just a few strokes. If you were in one of these bands and are annoyed by the presence of your track, please mail me and I shall. I can be contacted at:. Audio Emporium 2 - jaw-dropping soundscapes. Wow!
