Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: December 2012
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. And clock is ticking! And constipation, headaches and terrible heartburn. Being pregnant rules! Also, I've been having Braxton Hicks. Contractions mulitiple times a day. I've had them since the second trimester started, but now they come with a pretty sweet surge of Oxitocin. Hormone. This makes me feel really light-headed and kinda drugged up for a minute. The waves of hormones give me hot flashes too. Fun times! Monday, December 17, 2012. And also we are trying to sleep train...

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: September 2012
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 26, 2012. We are 20 weeks in (21 tomorrow) and all is well. The little one inside is very active and responsive to my eating (or lack-there-of) habits. If I haven't eaten in a while, she lets me know it's time to do so by kicking me right in the bladder. And usually after dinner and dessert she happily rewards me with a seemingly raucous dance party. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Ultrasound pics, 19 wks. Three of these 4 ultrasounds have been rendered in 3-D! View my complete profile.

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: February 2013
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 7, 2013. Week 40 10:18 pm. Earlier today I wrote a blog entry which many of you read. I am updating you on events since then. I am not in labor. I saw my OB this afternoon and she did a pelvic exam. I was 1 centimeter dilated but not much effaced. This surprised me because in my first pregnancy I was 80% two weeks prior to labor and didn't dilate at all until almost two days into labor. Goes to show you never can predict how each experience will be. Thank you and goodnight. Every wakin...

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: January 2013
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 28, 2013. So tired. So crazy. I've been sleeping a lot. Like a lot. Yesterday I never changed out of my pajamas. Been nesting a lot too. Doing newborn laundry, setting up cribs, washing cars, strollers. Collecting feeding materials and begging for free stuff on the Pacifica Mothers Club email forum. Giving away and cleaning out stuff we don't need. Eating lots, but not necessarily well. Lots of cookies mostly. Drinking lots of water. Taking lots of stool softeners. Joy. Your Group B Strep...

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: August 2011
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 12, 2011. Week 39- The Birth Story. This was the last photo taken of my belly before my baby was born three days later. A friend from Mexico said that it reminds her of a modern-day Virgin de Guadalupe portrait. I think the Christmas lights shone through and woke up my baby girl. I went into labor later that night when the contractions started. I don't remember much more of this day. But Brett says I would pass out between contractions and then wake up screaming in agony every five to ...

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: Full Term Time!
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2013/01/full-term-time.html
Tuesday, January 22, 2013. A few days ago I reached "full term" pregnancy, meaning that at 37 weeks (out of the average 40), my baby is all the way developed and should be able to live comfortably outside the womb. So any day now we can expect her to make an appearance! Sorry, that sounds pretty gross, but it's all part of the game! This time around, still no bloody show yet and I am two weeks from 40. So maybe I won't have these signs until right when everything goes down. Two days from now I go in for ...

Jenny Vega Is Making A Baby...: August 2012
http://jennifervega.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. She likes Chocolate Donuts and Oreos. Well obviously. She is a girl! And part Vega. So chocolate foods are going to of course turn her right on. This baby is MOVING, people! I started feeling her kick or slam into the walls of my insides last week and it is so cool. An exciting reminder that she is healthy and growing and full of life! Yes, I know it is totally generic to take photos of myself with a cell phone! Monday, August 20, 2012. 15 weeks, 4 days. These ultrasound pics wer...
