My journey to fix my lop-sided face :). Monday, 26 March 2012. Mind the gap' . No more! Sorry for the silence, but I haven't had much to report. These Photographs bellow are from my last appointment back in early March. I'd just forgotten to upload them! The photos bellow are to show how my last brace change has started to close that big gap created earlier - I can barely fit my tongue between it now! It might not seem like much, but it Feels. A dental student with an orthognathic problem. Saturday, April 13, 2013. In terms of numbness I have about 60% feeling on my right chin and lip and probably 90% on the left side. The day after my surgery I was completely numb on my right chin and left cheek, so I have come a long way! A dental student with an orthognathic problem. Friday, April 27, 2012. Yummy no chew food. I just ate by far the most delicious meal that I've had since getting my bands off: Cheesy refried beans with guacamole on top! I'd love suggestions on other yummy stuff! Tuesday, 24 June 2014. Post Op: Day 19 and Numbness. So, we are now nineteen days past the surgery date. Time really is flying by. This Thursday, it will have been three weeks! Recovery is going really well. When I visited the surgeon last week he told me that I don't need to see him for a month now because I am on the right track. However, I still have to see my orthodontist every week to check these elastic bands in my mouth. I am looking more normal every day! Tuesday, 17 June 2014. Post Op: Day 12.
