Sewing and Scrapping with Susan. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Daisy Chain Table Topper. Well, I've been back at the sewing machine and have completed one of the UFOs hanging in wait on my craft room door. I didn't share this one with you before this, since it was a gift for Mom's birthday this past week. Since she reads the blog faithfully (like a good mother should! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. I think it turned out well. Mom was pleased with it. It now graces her dining room table. I celebrated t...

http://wheelsonthewarrandytebus.blogspot.com/2015/07/winter-in-warrandyte.html

We arranged pick-up a few suburbs away for first thing last Sunday morning, it was -2 degrees! Well e...

Covered Porches and Wooden Screen Doors: December 2014
http://coveredporches.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. My Mom is 82. We're 1250 miles apart. We talk almost daily, but I've found we've begun playing the same game. That's the game of not discussing things that make the other person worry. Though I constantly talk about how it is important to talk to me about things, I don't practice what I preach. Neither does my Mom. But instead - my heart breaks and I tell her, 'I'm so sorry for your pain'. We talk the day after Christmas- her only brother has passed away at 87. Melanie, You ...

It has been quite a while since I've posted so I will try to catch up before we are in the New Year! In November I went on a mission trip to Nicaragua with a group from our church. We have been sponsoring some children to go to a Christian school there and I was able to meet them in person after corresponding for almost four years. This is Angely. . . Maria . . . It was a truly great trip!
