What you get when a yuppy, a hippy, and a chicken collide. Sunday, February 17, 2013. Our daughter Emlyn is 10 years old and has loved animals with a tender heart her whole life. She went to Zoocamp last summer and learned how to feed and take care of some exotic animals and of course loved it, even the horribly smelly monkey cage. Fish $0.50 per week. Birds $3 per week. Reptiles $5 per week. Rodents $6 per week. Dogs $10 per week. Cats $5 per week (I come to your house and feed). No snakes, mice, or rats.

I have to say, one of the things that has helped me the most as a mom/wife is menu planning. There is nothing like 6 pm when you don't know what you're going to serve your family, and the usual result is peanut butter and jelly or eating out. As a result, I know I will be using most of the things that would otherwise go bad, and I am making room in my freezer for other yumminess. Meal 4: Pumpkin pie.

I loved getting to be a tourist for a day. I've got heaps of photos and will upload some of the better ones when I get a chance. Unfortunately, all the kangaroo pics were out a bus window moving at around 60 mph as we drove by. It's a long lease too which means we won't have to move again soon, thankfully. I'm learning heaps about C# and Xaml. Hopefully the next project will get done even quicker now. Are you really reading another book? Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Out of My Mind. I have finished the most amazing book! I checked it out from our local library after seeing it on the shelf at the school library while volunteering. They cover caught my eye. The librarian there told me what a great book it is, and I've looked forward to reading it. She was right, it is wonderful. I think all teachers should have to read this book. It is such a touching story and very eye opening to me. Out of My Mind.
