Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Love Notes. Scratch That. Dove Notes. I believe after yesterday's. Poking fun at the mourning doves, they have all been busy early this morning leaving me little "love notes"? No, wait, scratch that, they've been leaving "Dove Notes". Of course! I wish I was better at bird hieroglyphics. I have a sneaky suspicion they're telling me they're not as dumb as they look! This is the best I could decipher from the little symbols . let me know if you see something different. Every day ...

Down to Earth With a Bump: Easter Holidays in Cornwall: beware there are lots of photos!
http://down-to-earth-with-a-bump.blogspot.com/2015/05/easter-holidays-in-cornwall-beware.html
Down to Earth With a Bump. The trials and tribulations of life as a wife, mum, coffee-drinker, cake-eater, biscuit-dunker, chicken-keeper, book-reader, magazine-browser and tv-watcher. Tuesday, 12 May 2015. Easter Holidays in Cornwall: beware there are lots of photos! How's about this contraption for cooking the roast chicken? There were about ten rooms dedicated to all sorts of different food prep, alongside the main kitchen; there was a dairy room (below), a meat room, a fish room to name but a few.

September Violets: June 2015
http://septemberviolets.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Tomorrow is Canada's 148th birthday . Canada Day! We've been doing some crafts around my house to show our patriotism. In the past we made these cotton flags using real maple leaves to stamp the maple leaf. This year had us making some wooden flags from jumbo popsicle sticks. We painted a maple leaf cut from fun foam for this one, and the foam worked really well as a stamp. Just to the east of us, there is always a good Canada Day celebration in Cobourg. Posted on Oct 7, 2015 in Brilliant Baking. So that’s it, Bake Off is over for another year, congratulations to Nadiya – what an achievement! To be honest Jacob wanted a boy to win but he did think her bakes were awesome in the final. Having won the final blogger bake off challenge last year with his dinosaur world. So here is his Bakewell Cake. Once both cakes were cooled Jacob spooned tinned black cherries (how nice are they? I might have finished the rest of the tin just with a spoon…) onto the t...

My Journey: Little Girls and Beauty Pageants
http://tlcukjourney.blogspot.com/2014/01/little-girls-and-beauty-pageants.html
Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Little Girls and Beauty Pageants. When we raise our children we want them to explore every avenue available to them, we want them to cultivate every corner of their imagination (After all even Einstein said that Imagination was more important than knowledge). I want to encourage them! I have spent the better part of motherhood raising boys, having 4 boys before Hannah, I was pretty sure that nothing, that no one could shock me. I was sure after boys, I could take on the World.

My Journey: Do you care what others think?
http://tlcukjourney.blogspot.com/2013/09/do-you-care-what-others-think.html
Saturday, September 14, 2013. Do you care what others think? A few days ago I had my feeling hurt by someone that I care about. I'm not one that is offended easily, nor do I get my feelings hurt easily, but my feeling were hurt nonetheless. I'm often reminded that the world has a negative view of what we should care about when others speak. Or is this a positive view? I don't care what you think". You can think what you want to" and the infamous "I don't care what you think". About what others think.

September Violets: July 2015
http://septemberviolets.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 11, 2015. Linking up with Amy of Love Made My Home. For Five on Friday! A butterfly wing I found on the forest floor. A scolding red-winged blackbird. 2 Pretty spots at camping. This old rock slide made a perfect sheltered rock garden. There were lots of wildflowers blooming there, but they didn't really show up so great in the photo. Wouldn't you love to have a backdrop like this in your own garden? This tiny island just glowed in the sunshine! Which he turned away at the last second:.
