The Procrastinating College Cook. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Banana Oat Granola Bars. I have tried and will continue to try other granola bar recipes, because variety is the spice of life. But this is a good starter recipe, calling for ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and no complicated cooking instructions. Plus they're vegan, sugar-free, and delicious! Banana Oat Granola Bars. From the Zupas Cafe Blog. Makes one 9x9 pan. 2 cups old-fashioned oats. 1/4 cup chopped walnuts. Challenge...

The Procrastinating College Cook: Muesli, aka the most addictive stuff on the face of the earth

The Procrastinating College Cook. Saturday, February 12, 2011. Muesli, aka the most addictive stuff on the face of the earth. But it's something you won't be able to stop eating either. Megan prefers hers with milk, as a cereal. I like mine dry, as I usually eat cereal anyways. Either way is delicious. It is also infinitely adaptable - you can change the kind or amounts of dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. Enjoy! Adapted from Honest Fare. 5 cups regular oats. 2 Tbs whole flax seeds. 5-6 figs, chopped*.

The Procrastinating College Cook: My favorite carrot cake

http://procrastinatingcollegecook.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-favorite-carrot-cake.html

The Procrastinating College Cook. Friday, February 11, 2011. My favorite carrot cake. This carrot cake is not the traditional sugar bomb. It is really carrot-y. It is sweetened with dates (yum! Bananas, and a little bit of honey. I love it because it's not overly sweet, and it could serve as a breakfast food as well as a dessert. I could imagine making it as perfectly cute, healthy little muffins. Hey, don't make fun of the plate. College students don't have a lot of plates that fit 9x9 cakes. :). With a...

The Procrastinating College Cook. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Whole Wheat Molasses Bread. Before we begin, a warning to you: don’t tell me that there is sugar in molasses. I refuse to listen to you. I will not read the molasses label, or check my common sense. This bread is necessary for sugar-free January. Mixing the molasses with yogurt - isn't it pretty? Before baking - it will seem very dry, but don't worry. It will all work out! Whole Wheat Molasses Bread. Recipe from Joy the Baker. 189; cup cornmeal.

Start the mashed potatoes as soon as you put the cupcakes in the oven, then they will be ready to pipe on top once the cupcake has cooled. 3 ounces garlic and cheese flavored croutons. 1/4 tsp ground black pepper. 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. 1/2 tsp chili powder. 1/2 tsp dried thyme. 1/4 spanish onion, roughly chopped. 1/2 carrot, peeled and roughly chopped. 18 oz ground chuck.

Monday, 9 January 2017. St Bernard or Swimming Pool? We got walloped by a snowstorm on the weekend. We were warned well in advance, so I wrote a post that was scheduled to publish on Monday, in case we lost power. It was a plea to send a St. Bernard dog to dig us out, and to have him bring us some good dark chocolate in a little knapsack, instead of the booze in the little keg around his neck. I even found a picture of an intrepid St. Bernard so you could see that he'd be totally up for the job:. That's ...
