Just another WordPress.com site. The effect of emotion on attractiveness. Next time you’re in Octagon trying to pull that hot girl on the dance floor, don’t smile at her, frown and look ashamed. Now, this might seem a little counterintuitive, but a new study seems to suggest that happiness is one of the least attractive emotional displays in males. The study from the University of British Columbia, found that men and women respond very differently to displays of emotion, including smiles. Mar 14, 2012.

Just another WordPress.com site. Correlation is easy to find and prove, it simply requires an experiment and a statistical test. Causation, on the other hand, is not so easy. Just another WordPress.com site. The Methods of Piaget. In my third blog, I intend to take a critical look at the research methods used by the influential psychologist Jean Piaget, in producing his stage model of cognitive development in children.
