It is hard to believe that seven years ago you were a teeny baby that I held incredulously in my arms. You are the one that turned me in to a mother, and that is the most amazing gift that anyone has ever given me. Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining. Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying. Cause you're amazing, just the way you are.

Sunday, August 14, 2011. Alison here to update you on my summer travels. We headed out to Okoboji, Iowa at the end of July to visit my great-grandparents. I had so much fun - check out my photos. Here's me sitting in an Ali-size chair looking out at the lake from the North Bay vantage point. This is me and my great-grandma reading after a yummy dinner of Iowa corn.
