Beauty in the Mundane. June 26, 2015. June 27, 2015. This is the second of four posts based on my artist’s talk from the exhibition. Held at Under the Oak, Ulverstone, in April. The first was based on the idea of The Inner World of the World. The second is: Beauty in the Mundane. I once read a quote stenciled on to the window of a very unspectacular shop front that remains with me. It simply said The mundane is to be cherished . Do we celebrate mediocrity? Is that what I am doing in this exhibition?
