Sunday, May 31, 2009. We have tried to stick to a night-time routine with Avery, and this may be proof that it is working. It's so amazing how fast children can learn. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. We finally turned our guest bedroom into a playroom. I was getting sick of having toys all over the family room. I saw a toy shelf in Pottery Barn Kids that I really wanted but of course we could not afford it so, Brandt built it for me. It was a bit more complicated than expected but it turned out great.

Saturday, September 27, 2008. Brandt is the Scout Master in our ward so he gets to go on the monthly campouts with the young men. This month they invited the families to come out and enjoy dinner and a campfire. Since the campsite was only 2 miles from our home Avery and I decided to attend. Sunday, June 7, 2009. Can you believe it, Avery turned one on June 7 (Yes I am a bit behind on my blogging)! Avery at a year is running all over the house, using everything as a telephone and telling it "hi," and learning new words every day. She is a chatterbox. Friday, February 20, 2009. Since Avery started crawling and pulling herself up to things she seems to be getting more silly. I find her doing the strangest things. She sure has a lot of personality. Just a few pics of her silliness. She likes to use the bumper pad in her crib as a pillow. No highchair can contain her. Wednesday, October 8, 2008. At her 4 month checkup yesterday, the doctor suggested we try working some solid foods into Avery's diet. Rice cereal was the main course in her new culinary experience, followed up with peaches for dessert. This is going well so far. Bring on that peach dessert! I just can't get enough of this stuff! Wednesday, January 28, 2009. An Uncommon Occurance in Oklahoma. Well, we don't get many snow storms in Oklahoma so we thought we would let Avery enjoy the brief snow flurry that followed yesterday's ice storm while it lasted.As you can see she was having a great time.
