Quilt Fest 2017 – A Symphony of Quilts. Longarm Quilting Services (& photos). From my Sister’s Kitchen…. My intercultural, interracial suburban life in small town U.S.A. The quantities in this recipe have been kept intentionally vague; the tomatoes you see pictured above produced 1 (qt) jar of tomato sauce. A bunch of tomatoes (lots of them! 1-2 onions (chopped fine). 2-3 Tbsp olive oil. 2-4 cloves of garlic. Plenty of salt, pepper. Lamb Shoulder Chops and Grilled Zucchini. Garlic, Salt and Pepper. Zucch...

Quilt Fest 2017 – A Symphony of Quilts. Longarm Quilting Services (& photos). From my Sister’s Kitchen…. My intercultural, interracial suburban life in small town U.S.A. Under the Wire (but just barely) – Stash Bee in October (Hive 7). Asymp; 1 Comment. I am currently working at an Early Voting Site in North Carolina – as you can imagine, all of my days (and then some) are very, very busy! Sherry chose a block that included partial seams – but they were VERY easy (and the block was really quick). My #1 n...

Party of Eight: Our Story: March 2014
http://partyofeightourstory.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 28, 2014. Flashback Friday: In the Beginning. There Were Wonky Blocks (but not on Purpose). I wanted to learn how to quilt so I started making some blocks. Itty, bitty Farmer's Wife blocks with a billion pieces in a six inch space may not have been the best choice, but hey, I didn't know anything. I just started. They were kind of crooked and a bit wonky and some of my color choices were kind of crazy. Labels: Children at Play. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. To make the sewing kit. I have us...

The Darling Dogwood: December 2016
http://thedarlingdogwood.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2016. Since 2017 starts tomorrow, it's time to put some goals in writing. I've been thinking about this for a week or two, and I've enjoyed seeing goals set by others through the 2017 Planning Party. Hosted by Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl. Goal: Focus on what's already started and what I own. I'm in 2 bees this year: Stash Bee. Where I'm also a Hive Mama, and Bee Inspired. Goal: Remember that "It's okay watch from the sidelines and still be inspired". Goal: Use my Quilter's Planner.

Beausoleil Quilts: June 2016
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 June 2016. Topographical-June One Block Wonder. I loved the quilt that Sandy from Upstairs Hobby Room made using this month's block. The colours were gorgeous and I had been wanting to make a blue and green quilt for a while. I shamelessly copied Sandy's colours when it came time to make it. I like big quilts which are big enough for a bed, so needed to make 9 of the 24 inch blocks. The quilt ended up being 87 inches square. Quilting-I decided to do a simple stipple for this. I decided to co...

Beausoleil Quilts: More 2016 Finishes
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2016/12/more-2016-finishes.html
Sunday, 18 December 2016. With only a couple of weeks left for 2016, I have realised there are some quilts not blogged about. Given that is a diary of my quilt finishes, I need to fill in. First that comes to mind are the baby Quilts. I was the only person who knew that Lukes new baby was to be a girl so I could make her quilt. Seeing the baby wasn't going to sleep in a cot, I decided a full single was a better idea. This is Hazels Quilt. The fabric is True Colors by Amy Butler. Blogs I Regularly Visit.

Beausoleil Quilts: Point Zero
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2017/01/point-zero.html
Wednesday, 11 January 2017. This quilt comes from a Charms Swap with Ms Midge. The designer this time is Lizzy House. When the fabrics were in the album I had thought that this swap might not be so interesting as there were lots of the Pearl Bracelets fabrics. How wrong I was. They only added colour to the mix and were not at all boring. I started with simple split 9 patch blocks which I was intending to set into a star quilt. After playing a lot with the blocks, this is the one I liked best. The 3rd bor...
