Quilt Fabrication: Book of the Month 2013
http://www.quiltfabrication.blogspot.com/p/book-of-month.html
Book of the Month. Book of the Month 2013. Do you collect quilting books, only to have them sit on the shelf waiting for that 'someday'? Each month I will choose a book, and make a quilt either following a given pattern, or learning a technique to come up with an original. Feel free to follow along! Check the Start, Progress, Finished links to see more. Small projects abound in Kim Schaefer's Skinny Quilts. Playing with Ricky Tims' Convergence Quilts. On another mission to use nickels! 3 Times a Charm.
Quilt Fabrication: Parkbench, Sort Of
http://www.quiltfabrication.blogspot.com/2015/04/parkbench-sort-of.html
Book of the Month. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Parkbench, Sort Of. I've worked up the courage to show what I've done with Parkbench. It's just a top at the moment, but hey, it's lucky to even be that! Yesterday when searching for fabric and cleaning up in preparation for my Spangled Stars Quilt-Along. Finally deciding that I did not want to make any more blocks, I laid out the three blocks I had on the floor. Pieces that were ready for another block filled in some of the edges. Told myself, 'Looks great!

Quilt Fabrication: Park Bench, Sorta
http://www.quiltfabrication.blogspot.com/2015/08/park-bench-sorta.html
Book of the Month. Monday, August 10, 2015. Park Bench, Sorta. Funny how things appear to be on track, and then get derailed. Such is the case with my Park Bench, Sorta. Started in a Quilt Club I belong to, we were supposed to use the Park Bench. So, now you know why this is Park Bench, Sorta, because it's like those sugar cookies - the creativity was lost after three blocks. I started with the intent to use coral throughout,. What to do now? To see how I put it together. It's a quilt top! And now it's a...

Sparkles, Sprinkles and Everyday Crap. Friday, August 14, 2015. A few weeks ago, I came upon. In my Bloglovin' feed written. Crayon Box Quilt Studio. Michele and her friend, Katie, decided to stitch up several blocks from the Tula Pink 100 Modern Quilt Blocks book. They wanted to cheer each other on as they progressed through the book and then decided to invite readers to join in! I was immediately interested! While I waited for the book to be delivered by snail mail, I got to work on. OK, who's saying,.

Sparkles, Sprinkles and Everyday Crap: February 2014
https://sparklessprinklesandeverydaycrap.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Sparkles, Sprinkles and Everyday Crap. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. She Wears Her Heart on Her Sleeve. Over the weekend, I was wearing one of my "go-to" shirts that I often wear under a sweater or vest. I have several of various colors, but this one is probably the one I wear most often. It's off-white and goes with just about everything. So I was feeling pretty comfortable and was in a I've-got-my-crap-together kind of mood when I looked down at my left sleeve and saw a hole! How'd that get there? Back i...

Canuck Quilter: Checkerboard border
http://www.canuckquilter.com/2015/07/checkerboard-border.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. It seemed like a good idea, then not so much, then good again, then I ground my teeth. I think it was worth it. The blue is a bit washed out from the camera flash, but that’s what I get at 9:30pm! I thought my airplane quilt needed a little something more. A checkerboard border to echo the nine-patch alternate blocks sounded just right, and with strip piecing it would come together quickly. In theory. About halfway through I didn’t think this was such a good idea anymore! I love ho...

Sparkles, Sprinkles and Everyday Crap: October 2013
https://sparklessprinklesandeverydaycrap.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Sparkles, Sprinkles and Everyday Crap. Wednesday, October 9, 2013. A Blast to the Past! So much for keeping up with this blog in September. I just get discouraged with no one reading the posts, but I must trudge on. If for no other reason, it's a good outlet for my thoughts and a great way to record some things that happen in my oh-so-exciting life. What would you like me to write about here? I love to write, read, sew, cook/bake, and garden. Maybe I'll even dream up a surprise for my first follower!
Both Sides of The Pond: December 2014
http://kmtrott58.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Don't you just love getting packages in the mail :) I was pleasantly surprised when the mailman knocked on my door this morning, not expecting delivery on New Year's Eve. An order I placed with Mad About Patchwork on December 28 was dispatched on December 29 and arrived on December 31. Pretty darn good postal services in my not so humble opinion. Last Day of 2014. I've bragged about and shared my creations here, on Facebook and in my forum and enjoyed the positives shared by...
