Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Technicolor Sky
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2014/11/technicolor-sky.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Saturday, November 22, 2014. I finished a quilt top! In record time, too. The Bright Sky quilt was just the center star, but I had already started piecing the outer star- and I was just a tiny bit worried about the loudness. Of my color/fabric choices. I finished the piecing at Stitch-n-Bitch last night (YAY for Friday nights with the gals! And lemme tell you, it's not just loud, it's Technicolor. Yes, I can. Technicolor Sky, 2014. I think it turn...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Circling the Stash
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/07/circling-stash.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Sunday, July 12, 2015. They have been going round in my head recently (pun intended)- but I reserve that blog post for another day. So, with the knowledge that I've been circle crazed lately, lookee what I found! Gold bolt end tells you it's Alexander Henry. Price told me it's an older fabric. And a customer at the shop. Said, "When you find an Alexander Henry that you love, buy it! Because you won't find it again.". The teal group, left to right:.

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Rockin' the quilt back
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/02/rockin-quilt-back.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Friday, February 13, 2015. Rockin' the quilt back. Just dropped Technicolor Sky. Off at the long-arm quilter. Woot. Definitely my fastest quilt finish to date: started in October and finished the top in November. Needed to piece fabrics for the back, as I was determined to make every part of this from my stash. So, in typical me. Fashion, I studied up on quilt backs. Class, taught by the wonderful Elizabeth Hartman of Oh, Fransson! Keep that creat...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Tote-ing my License Plates
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/08/tote-ing-my-license-plates.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Friday, August 14, 2015. Tote-ing my License Plates. Part of a winning quilt in Redding, CA. Have you been Row-by-Row-ing. I had a 2000-mile road trip in July, which took me near more quilt shops than I could possibly visit (given that I was traveling with non-quilting family members). Totally enjoyed collecting row patterns, seeing the quilts completed (most shops already had a winner- less than 1 month into the challenge! Happy to have another f...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Finished: Technicolor Star
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/07/finished-technicolor-star.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Friday, July 10, 2015. A quilt finish in less than a year. Since my previous quilt finishes have taken approx 3 years each, this quilt was lightning fast. Of course, it helps that this pattern contained only 41 pieces (as originally drafted- I complexified things into 81 pieces by adding the fussy. That I thought was missing). Many of my other quilts have contained upwards of 1,000 pieces. So I guess speedy. Makes sense in this case. This was an e...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Sneaky Scraps
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/05/sneaky-scraps.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Monday, May 18, 2015. Scraps can be pesky- always underfoot, multiplying with abandon (despite your best efforts to eradicate them), mocking you from the safety of their bins and baskets. One particularly intrepid band of scraps found its way under my sewing machine's needle this past week and demanded I stitch them up. Cheeky bastards! Coming up with a plan for sewing them together, but put them aside as a project for later. What am I to do?

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: 15 for 2015
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/01/15-for-2015.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Everyone is doing it this time of year: scanning the past, looking to the future, and setting some goals. I was inspired by the format of Cynthia's blog post at Quilting is More Fun than Housework. She pointed me to Yvonne's link-up over at Quilting Jetgirl. I almost feel like I have stolen some other peoples' lists- maybe us creative-types have just tapped into the Universe's stream of consciousness here:. 4 Be a friend.

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Monday, May 11, 2015. Celebrating a modest sewing finish: reversible topper for the buffet. Side 1: blue striped. Navy blue twill to make the topper an appropriate size. Side 2: celestial print. Yardage Used: 1/4 1/4 3/4 = 1 1/4 yds. Other blogs I like.
