Make sure all threads are trimmed on back of pieced top. Stray threads will show after being quilted, especially under light fabric. Measure sides and top and bottom of quilt top and cut borders to fit. Wavy borders will cause puckers and we will have to try and work in the extra fabric or take a tuck in the border (see instructions below).
