Mit hjørne hvor jeg vil berette om alt muligt. Torsdag den 22. maj 2014. Kan i huske det her billede. Hvor Mette's mor tog imod? Det var dag 21 i byggefasen - sådan ser denne del ud idag. Kunne ikke komme til at tage billedet ude fra vejen som det andet blev - solen var alt for skarp ;-). Huset er næsten muret færdig. Der mangler lidt her og så et par meter under carporten. Indenfor er alt spartlet. Her i køkken/alrummet - så nu kører tørremaskinen igen - og det her står klart. Onsdag den 14. maj 2014.

I am afraid I do not have a lot to show today , I have been busy with other things plus I desperately needed a new blade for my rotary cutter , it was starting to bother my shoulder with the extra pressure I had to give to get the fabric cut . Quilting in the Desert. Thursday, June 27, 2013. It's been a long week. And I have been crazy busy and not feeling too hot for a couple of days. Had myself a little bladder infection that started on Sunday. I hate hate hate those. But it's doing much better now. But I hate antibiotics too, but this is one of those times when there is NO choice! I've been busy sewing all week making collars and such. Doing some days of the Creative Journal and missing a couple of them and one of them is not finished.

I wish I could say that I have been working on personal quilts, but nope that's not the case. Oh don't get me wrong I am certainly not complaining! I have been getting more and more customer quilts and that makes me very happy. Plus I am now doing at least two classes a month over at the shop and that is a good thing too. Because finishing is out of this world. My Riley Blake Challenge entry is done. After all those ideas I’d had, and when I ironed the fabric (after washing, which I always do) I had another – wouldn’t it be fun to make nests with the red/pink flowers inside instead of eggs? I cut out the flowers in rough ovals, cut a whole bunch of random width strips, and made nests sort of log cabin style. I kept sewing strips on until I started to run out. No new UFO here. Monday, October 22, 2012. 4 Patch Fancy 12" Finished Block. This is the 12" finished block of Shirley's 4-patch fancy block. Cut 4 - 8 1/2" squares - 1 solid black, 1 solid white, 1 Black with White and 1 White with black. Number squares from left to right. Place squares on top of each other from 1 to 4. Cut 2 - 1" strips from right side of all 4 squares. Separate squares out in order as shown. Alternate 1" strips as below. Stitch together rows. Fold lower section over top section, right sides together.

Woensdag 14 december 2016. Een lieve vriendin vroeg of ik een quilt voor haar zou willen maken. En natuurlijk doe ik dat graag. De stoffen die ze mooi vond waren hier niet verkrijgbaar, dus in Amerika besteld. Nu heb ik dit vaker gedaan maar zolang als de stof erover deed om uiteindelijk afgeleverd te worden heb ik nog niet eerder meegemaakt. De track en trace gaf aan dat de stoffen in Turkije aangekomen was. En vervolgens niets. Heel vervelend natuurlijk, zeker als je stof voor iemand anders besteld.
