Sheila's Quilt World: September 2014

http://sheilasquiltworld.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 25, 2014. More blocks and some wonderful mail. I was away for a few days visiting with my Mom , I had a lovely visit and now am happy to be back home . I have made the other two blocks for the Bom with our quilt guild , both a little more challenging than the first block but I love a challenge :-). The names of these blocks are Denise's Star, Crosses and Losses and Double Aster , they can all be found on Quilters cache. A surprise for sure but a very nice one too . And my prize had ar...

Sheila's Quilt World: February 2015

http://sheilasquiltworld.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 23, 2015. I am afraid I do not have a lot to show today , I have been busy with other things plus I desperately needed a new blade for my rotary cutter , it was starting to bother my shoulder with the extra pressure I had to give to get the fabric cut . However a little progress was made and every bit counts. This is the little Bunny Hill. This poor walkway has had some damage from the storms and as you can see the beach is snow covered and the ice is in the harbour , if you look way out...

Sheila's Quilt World: March 2015

http://sheilasquiltworld.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 27, 2015. This seems to have been a slow month for me , but I am plugging away behind the scenes and have two small accomplishments to share . First off the March Bom from Bunnyhill Designs. Which are meant to be ornaments but I chose to make a mini quilt instead . I love my sheep , it is wool as well as the snowman , the heart is a homespun as well as the border both from my scrap bag , yeah! Next I finished the mystery BOM by Buttermilk Basin. Monday, March 23, 2015. Jo is new to making p...

Sheila's Quilt World: St. Davids Quilt Show

http://sheilasquiltworld.blogspot.com/2015/08/st-davids-quilt-show.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. St Davids Quilt Show. I met up with Lesley. Who was busy with the visitors who were there at the time , she was a busy little bee but it was great to talk with her for a while . A view from the front of the church towards the entry , isn't that amazing . A cheerful star quilt plus I love the red and white quilt behind it ,. One of Lesley's beautiful quilts! Another view of the many quilts on the church pews. This one took my eye with the houses surrounding the blocks , great idea .

Sheila's Quilt World: Northumberland Quilt show

http://sheilasquiltworld.blogspot.com/2015/08/northumberland-quilt-show.html

Friday, August 7, 2015. I am a little late reporting on my visit to the Northumberland Quilt Show last weekend in Pictou . It is always fun to view a quilt show with other quilters and I had the priviledge of sharing it with the Nova Scotia Quartet , Lesley the Cuddle Quilter. And Karen of KaHolly. As well as Lindas daughter Nicole , so nice to see everyone and catch up on the news . We had a wonderful day together and enjoyed the show , would you like to see a few of the photos I took? I loved the quilt...

Bronze Wombat: April 2015

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 26, 2015. Where has this week gone? I swear, it was only Monday when I last looked. Stuff has been happening in the sewing room! This week has been busy, I was out almost every night to rehearse for Friday night's musical extravaganza tribute to Anzac Day, which was yesterday. The show ended with massed choirs singing from the balcony of our lovely old War Memorial Town Hall. Here are some of the wildlife we met on our holiday, first some ducks by the Murrumbidgee River. This quite amazing ...

Bronze Wombat: Glorious oceanic lusciousness!

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2015/03/glorious-oceanic-lusciousness.html

Saturday, March 14, 2015. Late last year I was lucky enough to win a giveaway on Linda's. Blog, and yesterday my fabrics arrived from Sew Sisters. In Toronto, Canada.aren't they gorgeous? Colours of the ocean, from a tropical lagoon to a stormy sea! Thank you, Linda, for letting me join in, and thank you to Sew Sisters for such beautiful fabrics and for sending a second parcel when the first one failed to arrive. Hopefully, though, not too hot and not for too long. We've even had a little more rain, ...

Bronze Wombat: Swinging from the chandelier

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2015/05/swinging-from-chandelier.html

Monday, May 4, 2015. Swinging from the chandelier. Although it's not quite a chandelier! A few days ago our new shade was installed. It is not easy for a short person to take a picture of a light fitting, you know. Looking up from under, the outer row of diamonds is bevelled clear glass, next row in is patterned clear glass, inner row is opalescent glass. Shades with coloured glass are gorgeous, but we wanted a clear/white one. We've lived through the 70s once already, we don't need to do it again. If, p...

Bronze Wombat: December 2014

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 28, 2014. We have had rain! Wet stuff has fallen from the sky! So much rain has fallen this month that a new record has been set - the previous December rain record was set four years ago, and this month we had much more. Quite ironic really, considering we are still in drought. Gardens in the town are looking lush and green and healthy, and gardeners are smiling, and local farmers are over the moon. I am hopeful of fitting in a little shopping whilst in Canberra, I know where there is a...

Bronze Wombat: October 2014

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 21, 2014. On Thursday morning we will hitch up our caravan, get in the car, and go - first to a folk festival where we will catch up with friends not seen since the last festival at Easter, then to the coast to, as the song says, view the still waters and taste the salt air. We will see mountains. And perhaps some greenery, or even orchidery. On Sunday the uke group played at the local monthly market on the main drag, and people even gave us money! Discretion in forming acquaintances.

Bronze Wombat: We're back......again!

http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/2015/04/were-backagain.html

Sunday, April 19, 2015. We had a fun time on our holiday, Euan The Wonder Kid is growing - four months old today but not yet walking and taking, as we expected (obviously our expectations are a wee bit high) - all our family and friends in Canberra are well, and the folk festival was great. First up, Euan The Wonder Kid looking serious while relaxing on his father's lap a week ago:. Talk about living the life of Riley. He's not fading away, is he? Then we drove to Tidbinbilla. If only I could play a uke ...

Sheilas Quilteverden | Lapper i alle fasonger

Lapper i alle fasonger. Mai 2, 2015. Mars 16, 2015. Her ser dere….
