All things quilting and sewing. Guest Blogger: Meet Patti! I have a guest blogger today for your enjoyment: my mother, Patti Everest! She’s fantastic and the woman that taught me to sew. Give her a warm welcome as she’s very excited! As I started my journey of quilting little did I know what it entailed. It has not been a smooth path due to many extenuating circumstances including a full time job, raising daughter, taking care of mother, and trying to please husband. However, I know I am. I was in my ear...

All things quilting and sewing. I need an extra three hours in the day-does anyone else feel that way? I have this temporary job that I really like but it leaves me exhausted and wanting to go to sleep at 8pm. Not really great if you have lists of things to get done and projects to be finished. By the time the weekend gets around, between the job and the heat, I just want to sleep! Back to the sewing! On instagram is where we post our inventory and destash sometimes.). 2016 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop.

All things quilting and sewing. Facets Plus Quilt Along Pt. 1. I am so far behind in everything but I am attempting to catch up! I’m taking part in the Facets Plus Quilt Along that’s graciously being put on by the amazing Amanda at This Mom Quilts. When I was looking at my fabric stash and deciding on different options I kept looking back at this striking Kaffe Fassett print. How gorgeous is this fabric by Kaffe Fassett? I just love mini quilts! I also am participating in our local modern guilds Mini-Min...

All things quilting and sewing. Blogger’s Quilt Festival- Small Quilt. Amy Ellis at Amy’s Creative Side is once again running the Blogger’s Quilt Festival. And I thought I would jump in this time! Front of the Quilt. This was definitely a quilt that took me time to do because of all the patterns in one area. It was foundation paper pieced, which I absolutely love doing, but there were many panels to it to create the pattern. Tagged: foundation paper piecing. 2016 Cloud 9 Block Blog Hop. Quilt Ohana
Sunday, March 26, 2017. This quilt was made in a workshop. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the instructor. This was given to baby Audrey Johnson who is 6 months old and already standing. I was able to use some Kaffe Fassett polka dot fat quarters and strips of 2.5 inch fabrics. The setting has a black and white thread fabric. The outer border is leftover strips of fabric sewn together. This is a baby quilt that I gave to Kai'alohi Jolie Alohamaikalani Hollinger Arai born on April 28, 2016.

While I get back into the swing of things, below is a picture (though not great) of my Rifle Paper Co. quilt that I had previewed last year. The. Tami Bradley of Enchanted Desert Quilter did the quilting for me and I love it! What have you all been working on? Guest Blogger: Meet Patti! There are only so many puckered darts an...

Quilt - O - Matic
Quilt - O - Matic. Wednesday, 27 March 2013. Today Arthur and I made a dozen Easter cards. They were simple, they involved paint (his favourite) and glue (another favourite) and overall, were very pleasing to make. I took inspiration from this lovely post over at a Thrifty mum. With something for all ages and abilities on the younger scale of crafters. Here is Arthur working hard (we also made cotton wool sheep cards for a bit of variation while the chicks were drying) and one of his finished cards.
