Monday, September 27, 2010. Once again, this may be something that's not new to all you active quilters, but I hadn't seen it before: Superior. I've mislaid the original link I got there from, but what it is is a lining-type fabric that shrinks 20-30% when you steam it, so that if it's sewn to a regular fabric before it's steamed, the regular fabric has to scrunch up when the Texture Magic shrinks. quilts galore: The Five-Dollar Quilt

http://quiltsgalore.blogspot.com/2008/05/five-dollar-quilt.html

Sunday, May 11, 2008. I don't think I ever posted the picture of my mom's "five-dollar" quilt. (I should've gotten this up earlier so you could enjoy it for Mother's Day, but better late than never! Click through to the big version. To see Denise Green's beautiful quilting.). Quilt pieced and embroidered by Billie Standley, from a pattern from Painted Pony and Quilts. This quilt is to be given to my sister, and then there is a sort-of-twin made partly from the same pattern that is mine. Paula, the quilter.

quilts galore: Mayfest Best of Show - Cathedral Windows

http://quiltsgalore.blogspot.com/2008/04/mayfest-best-of-show-cathedral-windows.html

Sunday, April 27, 2008. Mayfest Best of Show - Cathedral Windows. This is not as visually arresting as some Best of Show winners I've seen, but it's beautiful workmanship. That must have took forever! Wednesday, April 30, 2008 12:32:00 PM. A little obsessive, but absolutely terrific! Saturday, May 03, 2008 1:02:00 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Somewhat misnamed nowadays. Sorry about that! Dates are exact if I had them, otherwise approximate! January: Road to California, Ontario, CA.

quilts galore: FYI

http://quiltsgalore.blogspot.com/2009/11/fyi.html

Wednesday, November 04, 2009. I seem to have abandoned quilts in favor of jewelry, at least temporarily, and in case you're interested, I am blogging doggedly away over here. I just threw in a quilt picture the other day, though - you know I can't resist for long.). I did go to the quilt show, but predictably, all I bought was beads. I did look around at the quilts - I was most interested in the Tolkien quilt, which can be seen on the winners page. Thursday, November 05, 2009 6:19:00 PM. URL=http:/ imgwe...

Quilts from the Little House

Quilts from the Little House. Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Here's my quilting this week. I have a nice little chunk of the central block done on the Big Quilt. I can't believe I picked the hottest week of the summer to start this, but it hasn't been too bad. I have good support for the quilt and haven't had to pile it on my lap at all. My treadle is handling the size really well. Hard to get a clear picture of the quilting without a flash washing it out. And these half-yard cuts are what I bought with it.

"T's" Are The Times to Remember: Home Page

T's Are The Times to Remember. All of us have T-shirts from our kid's sporting events, school activities and clubs. Ever wonder what to do with them? Unfortunately, most of them sit in a drawer and eventually end up in a rag box. How about making the T-shirts into a quilt? This is a great way to display youth accomplishments and life memories. T-shirt quilts are not just for sports, either. How about a quilt to reserve memories of those favorite vacations or to honor and memorialize a loved one. Bears ha...
