Country Matters: June 2012
http://janellenoack.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Patchwork and quilting designs. Sunday, 17 June 2012. So I started with the idea of 3 dresdens and just a simple table runner,. These are the fabrics I used,. I got it all cut and sewn together ready to quilt. The next day when I looked at it, I thought that it was not right, it needs to be bigger, so I unpicked it all and made another 6 dresdens. This is it, below, with all the borders. It is now ready to quilt, and I am NOT unpicking it again! Just a little of bragging to be done! Quilts in the Barn.

Sunday, 19 October 2014. I made a bright little quilt for baby Hugo this week (my cousin's new baby). When I make a quilt for children, it has to be able to withstand lots of washing because baby's poop and throw up on everything! I used a "what's bugging you" panel. By Sue Marsh that I bought from Lilly Patches. Last week, 3 fat quarters and a half metre and polar fleece on the back. Hopefully little Hugo will enjoy snuggling under this simple quilt. Thought I'd share my binding tip with you. A huge tha...

A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Monday, December 8, 2014. After the Xmas rush is over and all's back to normal how about some sewing at a Summer School? I'm doing two different ones in January and this is the first one. It's my Strippy Sampler quilt, made using a variety of different techniques. There's "made fabric", curved piecing, foundation piecing, wonky flying geese, a traditional circle block and a wonky zig zag block with a touch of applique.

I have been sewing since I could hold a needle in my hand. When I was a child I used to ask my Mum for her old dresses to cut up to make my dolls' clothes. I've made most of my own clothes over the years as well as for friends. Now my love of fabric has extended to all things quilting. View my complete profile. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Sewing in the Rain. What else can one possibly do when it's raining hard and long! After the longarm quilting was done I searched high and low for some more of the blu...
