quilty by disassociation

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Thursday, September 5, 2013. I suppose I'm like a lot of people when I say I didn't get done all the things I wanted to accomplish over the Summer months. Blogging regularly, for instance. Setting up my design studio, for example. Exercising. oh, the list goes on. It doesn't always hurt, sometimes the "curling" is simply a neutral position (often in a sort of "Rock on! Anyway, I'll keep on truckin' as usual, and hopefully it won't be too long before you hear from me aga...

quilty by disassociation: February 2012

http://quiltybydisassociation.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Sunday, February 12, 2012. I *finally* finished the Dresden Plate top. My husband thinks I should completely finish this quilt before I start the next one. Silly boy! I've already started the next one! I didn't get pictures of the side borders because I couldn't get a good angle. My bedroom is really teensy. I have a queen size bed, just to give an idea of the size. Once I got this done, I continued work on the batiks. Pix soon! Thursday, February 9, 2012. Okay, those a...

quilty by disassociation: August 2012

http://quiltybydisassociation.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Well, I have made an enormous dent in the basement! I was expecting my stepdaughter and her boyfriend this weekend, but because of some circumstances beyond our control, they won't be able to visit. On the one hand, darn it, we were looking forward to the visit (not to mention they'd be taking the rest of her crap back home with them) on the other, I don't have to be in quite such a rush. It was pretty overwhelming. Thursday, August 9, 2012.

quilty by disassociation: February 2013

http://quiltybydisassociation.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Yeah I had a busy winter. Between school, holidays, and a production of Cabaret, I lost track of a lot. One thing I decided was to not go back to school. It'd take too long at the rate I was going. Not that I didn't do well (I aced Textiles) or didn't like it (who doesn't love to learn new stuff? But now I'm getting restless. I'm anxious to get started on the Next Big Thing. Anyway, I've set up a few goals. I've taken pix of some things I'...

quilty by disassociation: I won an award!

http://quiltybydisassociation.blogspot.com/2012/10/i-won-award.html

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Monday, October 22, 2012. I won an award! For being the world's laziest blogger. For real. I have thought about it nearly every day, but getting to the computer was hardly on the reality agenda. Baby still isn't here, which is good, because the blanket is no where near done. However, I did decide how I was going to connect the flowers and have been working away at that. I use the inside of one of my templates as a guide. Then I use one of them as a guide to make a cardb...

Quilty Bits from the Blue Room. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Xmas In July Swap 2015, OPAM. Time to show my gifts sent and received for the Xmas in July Swap run by Cheryll of Gone Stitchin. I received my gifts from Jan. Thank you for my lovely gifts Jan. Love all three but think just maybe the blue Xmas tree with its sparkly shell buttons is my favourite. And below are the gifts I sent to Lisa V. A snowman table runner, an angel wall hanger and a Christmas tree ornament. So happy you liked them Lisa. I sent o...

Quilty Bits 'n Whatnots

Thursday, August 2, 2012. A couple of fun things. I have always loved this Topsy Turvy Scarecrow pattern. From Happy Hallow Designs! Last summer I found it at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum Garage Sale. I pulled it out to put together last weekend when I was home with a cold. THIS is exactly why you need a stash, right? I love applique by hand and machine! I need to quilt this and then add “straw” and a corner buttons to finish it off! I wanted the gold diamonds to look like corn; did it work? I’v...

Link a questo post. A place for everything! Link a questo post. A great combination of Anna Maria Horner and Cotton Steel fabrics for this project! Link a questo post. Link a questo post. This is my mini quilt I named "Moon Faces". I made it just for fun and to play with the beautiful Carolyn Friedlander fabrics. I also played with the quilting threads . I used three different kind of threads : pale grey , orange and metallic silver . I love the add of a little sparkle . In life it should always be!

Sunday, February 24, 2013. Official 15th Birthday Portrait. Hi everyone, today is my 15th Birthday. Here is my official 15th Birthday Portrait for your viewing pleasure. You have no idea how much of a challenge I made this by not sitting still or looking where I should. Tuesday, October 2, 2012. In case you've been wondering what I've been up to, I got an iPad! It's very good. I like the retina display. It makes things look realistic. Simply put, pounce on a fish and score points. Whatever a point is?

Quilty cats & me

Quilty cats and me. A quilting crafting diary. Saturday, 19 April 2014. Yesterday was gorgeous wasn’t it? The sheep in the field that partly surrounds my house were soaking up the sunshine and warmth. These are not my sheep, my girls are a bit further away. I was pottering about when the neighbor said he thought there was a lamb stuck. Turned out that some naughty lamb had been playing king of the castle on my garden wall. Tuesday, 14 January 2014. Because the eulogy was a life reduced to a series of eve...
