4189196. architecture for everyone feb 2011
Architecture for Everyone 2011. The lovely people at Architecture for Everyone asked me to come back for a second year of the Sheffield leg of their project. This year I worked with the young people to again create a visual brief but this time the end result was a wearable installation discussing what is important in designing urban green spaces. We photographed the installation at Park Hill flats in the rain in February 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

4189200. Tagging Australia
Tagging Australia, October 2010. I spent October in Australia visiting in friends and returning to old haunts. It was a very needed, relaxing and inspiring month. I took a bag of multi coloured wool, needles and hooks with me and made tags in my free time to leave my mark. Newtown Park, Sydney. And a woman said 'Is it you that puts these up everywhere? I wish it was me! The tag is still there (Feb 2011) and Chris and Sian have reported that another one has since been put up in the entrance to the park.

4189202. The Cosyberry Bush
I created the cosyberry bush for The Sharrow Winter Garden Trail. In December 2009 and decided to leave the berries attached to the bush and see what happened to them. These pictures were taken a month later during the snow and the berries were still going strong. A month after that they were gone. The bush was cut down by the council, I think during routine maintanance. I'd like to have seen their faces! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

Empire Road Roundabout, January 2010. Inspired by groups like Knitta in America and others all over the world I decided to start guerilla knitting (or yarn-bombing/ grafitti knitting) in my area of Sheffield. Idea for LICC project. I have been thinking a lot about dandelion clocks lately. I used them in a project a few years ago and I have noticed they are all over the place again. I was thinking about using the below visual for some personal work but realised it could be an effective image for the shop window display.
