November 16, 2015. December 6, 2015. Patty Cake for Grown-ups. I have been at my site placement, the Helen Keller School for the Visually Impaired and Special Needs, for about 7 weeks now, and I have fallen in love with the adorable, kind-natured, and thoughtful students who attend there. I work with a range of children, from 4 year olds to 15 year olds who have a range of special needs and impairments. And understanding one another becomes a little easier. More to Their Story. This is something I wrote after leaving a very special place I worked and lived at for almost two years called Eagle Bluff, an environmental learning center in southeastern Minnesota. I learned so much there from the kids, the natural surroundings, and my co-workers/friends.
