Rachel Cockburn: February 2010

http://rachelcockburn.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, 28 February 2010. Site mapping and tutorial. On Friday I laid out all the pages I had designed in the order that they would be linked to make a website (above). Then I had my tutorial with Belinda, who explained to me what a wire frame map was - this will be a much more logical way for me to map the site! Thursday, 25 February 2010. Ministry of Food exhibition and web page ideas. So hand-drawing is quite a slow process. I have a tutorial with my project mentor, Belinda, tomorrow - I'm hoping ...

Rachel Cockburn: Real food images and data collection

http://rachelcockburn.blogspot.com/2010/04/real-food-images-and-data-collection.html

Friday, 16 April 2010. Real food images and data collection. I've taken the photographs required for a couple of the sequences, however when working on them yesterday I realised that I need to have the finished pdf of my website in the background of each. It would be mad to go through all 80 or more images for each scene and replace the computer screen using photoshop! For other scenes, I need to have the real data - i.e. a route around all the shops, on foot - which I have only just worked out!

Rachel Cockburn: December 2009

http://rachelcockburn.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 15 December 2009. It isn't hard to find articles about the food issues I'm interested in. But this article in particular caught my eye - it really summarises what I'm thinking. See it here. Also found this article about how food is now being labelled with carbon footprints - under new guidelines in Sweden. see it here. Thursday, 10 December 2009. Created on Sep 8, 2008. Updated 2 days ago'. See it here. See the website here. How Many People Can Live on Planet Earth? The theory goes like this: if...

Rachel Cockburn: returning to web work

http://rachelcockburn.blogspot.com/2010/04/returning-to-web-work.html

Wednesday, 21 April 2010. Returning to web work. After leaving this part of the project for a couple of weeks, I have really enjoyed coming back to it the past few days. I haven't received any feedback from my mentor yet, but I have some good constructive stuff from a couple of friends, so I used that as a starting point. I also looked at the elements of the pdf that I wasn't happy with previously. I've been using a brilliant site called walkit.com. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Rachel Cockburn: Mapped local shopping list

http://rachelcockburn.blogspot.com/2010/05/mapped-local-shopping-list.html

Tuesday, 4 May 2010. Mapped local shopping list. I spent this morning preparing for my assessment, and then making a plan to help me get at least two scenario films finished by 11th May. Then I started working on the printable shopping list and local map that would be accessible from the meal plan section of the website. This is used in the scenario film - the user prints out the map and list, then takes it with them as they shop. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Annie Greevenbosch: Wrapping up...

http://agreevenbosch.blogspot.com/2010/05/wrapping-up.html

Friday, 21 May 2010. It's gotten to the stage where I've had three practice VIVA presentations and my final outcomes are taking their final shape. The practices have been particularly helpful to determine what to include about my design process and contextual support necessary within my discourse. Here's a few photographs of an almost-finalized design travel pack:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Travel Pack in Operation. How do you do? Made by matt west.

Monday, 26 October 2009. Breakfast on the Bridge. Http:/ www.reuters.com/news/pictures/searchpopup? Http:/ www.breakfastonthebridge.com/. Monday, 19 October 2009. The exhibition truly brought out a curious imaginative child in me and looked at things in a different light. Damned hell light maybe? No thanks, I'd prefer to stick with the fairytale happy endings and my own sweet honeycomb vase. I want to be a kid again and dream of unicorns, sorcerers and flying through the skies. Annie Greevenbosch: December 2009

http://agreevenbosch.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, 10 December 2009. Graphic Designers for Film. I watched the most recent episode of Life (Plants) and was at first very much in awe with the beginning time lapsed shot of a forest in England flourishing and spurting all sorts of gorgeous plant life. I remember thinking it looked magical and almost unreal. PS Mr Connaire, you need to do your plant shadows better. I ♥ LASERCUTTING. Last night they were a really, really big hit! Annie Greevenbosch: Old Travel Images

http://agreevenbosch.blogspot.com/2010/03/old-travel-images.html

Monday, 22 March 2010. Last week was my week of collecting stuff. I've filtered through hundreds of photographs on hulton getty archives to build an image library of sorts. This was mostly to obtain a larger field of aesthetics and historic value to evidence my work. The below has to be one of my favourites which I found, a child fallen asleep after a trip to Brighton with her spade and sand bucket. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Annie Greevenbosch: November 2009

http://agreevenbosch.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, 23 November 2009. I love BBC Life. Aren't they absolutely fabulous? I for one had no idea that a bug like this ever existed. I definitely need to plan a trip to Madagascar at some point in my life. or go see the fluttering swarms of monarch butterflies that huddle together to hibernate in the tall trees of a single forest in Mexico. Rachel Cobb  l  Soprano - Home

Rachel Cobb l Soprano. Rachel Cobb's pure soprano has the charm and fragility requisite for the role of Mimì. The cleanly articulated line in 'Mi chiamano Mimì', the beautifully floated high notes in the final scene—all testified to an artist in full command of her craft. Rachel Cobb made much of Miss Jessel's tragedy without any recourse to melodramatics in one of the best impersonations I have seen.". Proudly powered by Weebly.
