Book Reviews, Slices of Life, and other Junk : SOL: Hawaii Trip

http://rachelreading.blogspot.com/2015/05/sol-hawaii-trip.html

Book Reviews, Slices of Life, and other Junk. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. My question is soon answered as the first fire-knife thrower stomps out and begins his performance. I wonder how he's going to compensate for that loss until I see him link three fire-knives together and spin them round and round in an impressive flurry of flame. When he finishes, the audience roars with applause. This is the fire show that we came here for, and it did not disappoint. May 21, 2015 at 1:55 PM. May 21, 2015 at 6:38 PM.

Sunday, May 29, 2011. Thursday, May 26, 2011. It has been a while. It has been four or so days since my last post. Did I mention trying beef tartar.so good. Tasted somewhat like sushi. It is extremely hot. I have enjoyed staying inside without the pressure to do anything. It is too hot for baby to go out.so we stay in, yeah vacation! I like lounging.so much.that when we go to the pool, I just lay there and listen to music. I actually have only made one full contact with the pool! Friday, May 20, 2011.

Rachel Reads

For someone who professes not to like YA, I sure do seem to be reading a lot of it lately. I can’t help it. My daughter keeps handing me books and telling me that I “have” to read them. Well I am not normally a pushover, but when my daughter shoves books at me I am powerless, completely powerless, to resist. In my last post. I complained that the author created false suspense by withholding information from the reader that the characters knew. Well that sure wasn’t a problem in. I think the publisher sho...

100 Books in 2009

100 Books in 2009. The story of one woman's quest to read 100 books.in 2009. Thursday, May 21, 2009. The Duggars: 20 and Counting! Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. So I loved this book. There are a lot of reasons for me to have liked it. It's well-written and well-organized. The voices of the authors are genuine, and the subject matter is interesting and unusual. That's not why I loved it though. I loved this book because I am freaking fascinated. And therein lies her charm. Look at how well organized she is!

I vow to assimilate the world's philosophies - and I will grow within them. Sunday, January 25, 2015. Love Without End, by Glenda Green. Ccording to Glenda's painting, Jesus has dazzlingly blue eyes and chestnut hair. :) I hear rumor that this fits the description of Jesus given in. Heaven is for Real.
