Raising Kane: You, You, You Ought to Know

http://raisingkanecalifornia.blogspot.com/p/you-you-you-ought-to-know.html

You, You, You Ought to Know. Congratulations, you have arrived. I’ve been sitting here in my fuzzy gray hoody robe, sipping warm cream with coffee and waiting for you. Not in a creepy way though. I am somewhat older than Prince William but definitely younger than Britney Spears. I’m a mom, wife, retired employee at. The Hardest Job Ever. And now, full-time Concierge to Toddlers. Raising Kane: January 2014

http://raisingkanecalifornia.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. It turns out baking is a good solution. Fresh lemon muffins were good. French yogurt cake with lemon glaze was better. Orangette's Dutch baby pancake in a cast iron skillet with powdered sugar. You get what I'm saying, right? See, lately, cooking and baking matter so much to me. It's something I like to do and there are just so many good feelings to be found with making something that makes your husband and your kids and your friends feel good. Cliche-ville! But skip the sugar!

Raising Kane: IAQ

http://raisingkanecalifornia.blogspot.com/p/iaq.html

No, that's not a typo. IAQ stands for "Infrequently Asked Questions". These are questions people basically never ask me, but I thought should be addressed here. What kind of camera do you use? Is it true that you're writing a book? Do you review products? Yes, I most definitely review products. Just yesterday, I put an off-brand diaper on Henry and I thought to myself, "Wow, this is a nice diaper. It's so white and absorbent and it just makes me happy to be a housewife." Bam. Reviewed. Id call myself a f...

The Scribble Pad: Bright Five Favorites

Warning: This is a ridiculously random list of finds. This view may or may not be influenced by the fact that I am ready for baby no. 2 but not yet pregnant}. The last pint of the season sitting on the top shelf of our refrigerator. And other similarly hued goodness. A confesstion: I overuse the exclamation. Admitting you have a problem is the first step right? A new kind of kneepad, cropping up on the interwebs seen here. From k.slademade and a giveaway. To boot. But I don't really want you to enter.

The Scribble Pad: Packing for Summer Adventures

http://www.thescribblepadblog.com/2015/06/packing-for-summer-adventures.html

Packing for Summer Adventures. If you aren't sure yet, I am an over packer. Don't let the picture above fool you! 1 / The perfect beach blanket. I've been looking for a few years. Its thicker than a sheet, like a quilt without batting and it isn't hideous or overly florally. It is lighter and bigger that the sweatshirt blanket we have used in years past. 3 / One bucket of toys. 4 / The ergo. 5 / Rash guard. We have a soft-side collapsible cooler. I love tuna sandwiches, potato chips, peanut butter cracke...

The Scribble Pad: March 2015 Goals with Grace

http://www.thescribblepadblog.com/2015/03/march-2015-goals-with-grace.html

March 2015 Goals with Grace. Due to family obligations and the cyclical nature of my work, January is a crazy month. I take time off blogging to focus on everything else in life. It gives me the benefit of a month of reflection. This year, it seems I needed two! A surgery and several ER visits, a road trip to Boston (see that snowy beach? And all of the sudden, I lost February. Full knowledge that it's a short month didn't help it speed to a close with too many things left undone. You too? Insert fist bu...

About The Haute Housewife. Adventures of an american housewife in the south of france. Posted on Feb 6th, 2013 in Featured. We all know how the move to Boston ended. Sometimes taking a risk pays out, and sometimes it leads to something else. It takes you to a place you never expected to be, but where you were meant to be all along. A failed risk is not a mistake if you learn from it and change. So I left Boston. For a new city I’d never stepped foot in. And this time, it turned out differently. Alexa @cl...

Baby Meal Planning: 7-9 Months. Behr eating at six months. These pictures are old, but I love the intensity of his expression. After recently seeing them again, I have been dying to use them in a post! Stepping into the world of baby food has left me with more questions than straight answers. After hours of internet searching, ending up in dead ends and more confusion, I finally realized that the answers I was looking for aren't searchable. And the first foods. Raising A Little Kane | tales of a first born son, Finn P. Kane

Raising A Little Kane. Tales of a first born son, Finn P. Kane. August 17, 2008. How much is this going to cost me? Seriously, we don’t know what the fuss is all about since most of the time the Captain and Mommy don’t even make the list. July 9, 2008. For the past few weeks we have been telling Finn, “If you poopie in the potty, you will get a big present.”. So the question is did he get a big present or did we? The racket and some balls only ran about $15 bucks since that was not. It started to rain as...
