Random Jane | Here there be tumbleweeds

Here there be tumbleweeds. Running on MT: 6/2002 – 5/2006. So hey, thanks to A. I finally got my hands on the October/November issue of Asimov’s. Which just happens to have my story “Where the Time Goes” in it. Very exciting! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. September 16, 2009. I’m making the transition from Go! I also discovered an embarrassing factual glitch at the very beginning of the novel, in the bit I excerpted on my Write-a-thon page:. The books whisper to me. They want to know who I am.

Zombie Lit | Random Jane

Here there be tumbleweeds. Running on MT: 6/2002 – 5/2006. Yesterday Eric sent me a link to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. A mashup novel by Seth Grahame-Smith coming out in April. Eric wasn’t sure how zombies could be wedged into P&P, but I gotta say I don’t think any wedging is required — P&P practically begs to be redone with zombies. I have no idea what the actual content of Grahame-Smith’s book is, but here’s how I would do it:. 8221; part of P&P. Of course, Elizabeth ends up with Zombie Darcy, wh...

Here there be tumbleweeds. Running on MT: 6/2002 – 5/2006. Salvage of the Lamb (et al). Tonight I made a lamb and mixed vegetable curry using the leftover leg of lamb A. Roasted for dinner on Sunday (the roast was fabulous, and the lamb a lovely housewarming gift from A’s mother). I also threw in:. The remaining carrots and onion he roasted with it. The leftover peas we had on the side. Whatever broccoli I didn’t use satisfying the broccoli-and-cheese baked potato craving I had earlier this week.

Intent on changing the face of fantasy and science fiction as we know it. Crosspost: Snippets from Hearts of Tabat (Cat Rambo). Posted by Cat Rambo. October 11, 2013. The Write Grrl: August 2005

http://thewritegrrl.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html

Walking the fine line between writing and everything else. Wednesday, August 31. It goes on and on and on. I am trying to ignore the word count on my revision thusfar - just get it out of my head and edit it later - but I am starting to panic when I look at the page total and watch Strange steadily growing and growing and growing. I really want them to look at it since they'll have a bit of perspective and I may also cast it about to a few outside my trusty compadres for a few fresh eyes. I lost all my s...

Yes, support corporate booksellers - they are not going to go away any time soon, so make them stock their shelves with books they wouldn't ordinarily by buying the few oddballs they do. Thursday, October 21, 2010. Years ago, there were some great motivational speakers. They were kings in their fields. They took a lot of flack. People made fun of those silly, positive thinking, plastic smiling people. Their critics said life really wasn't like that for anyone. But I am here to tell you that we can have some amazing days. Sometimes, we can open our eyes, feel the blood cruising through our veins, and remember that today is the first day of the rest of our lives. Wednesday, October 20, 2010.

Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Tango Peninsula Road Trip! Living in Kyoto City we are spoiled with many things to do. It seems like there is a festival every other week! But we sometimes forget about the rest of Kyoto prefecture. That's why I always recommend my friends to take a trip North to the Tango peninsula especially to see the famous view of Amanohashidate. Which is sometimes called the "sky bridge to heaven" for it's famous pine covered strip of land cutting through the sea. There is also a smaller...

Friday, March 11, 2011. Of all the days to come to Tokyo! I arrived in Tokyo around 11:30 am yesterday after spending the past 3 months living in the mountains. Decided to come a couple days before my flight so I could check out the sights and sounds of the city! Those sites and sounds ended up being much different than I expected! I think one of my favourite parts of traveling is trying to figure out where places are and discovering random stuff along the way. Isn’t there a quote for that? It was a clea...
