Random Japandom!

Friday, March 11, 2011. Of all the days to come to Tokyo! I arrived in Tokyo around 11:30 am yesterday after spending the past 3 months living in the mountains. Decided to come a couple days before my flight so I could check out the sights and sounds of the city! Those sites and sounds ended up being much different than I expected! I think one of my favourite parts of traveling is trying to figure out where places are and discovering random stuff along the way. Isn’t there a quote for that? It was a clea...

Random Japandom!: Road trip!!

http://randomjapandom.blogspot.com/2011/02/road-trip.html

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Most days off we pile into the van and head down to the city or out on an adventure/road trip! We live up in the mountains so its a pretty sweet drive and there is a damn at the bottom of it that generates all the electricity for Tokyo. Sometimes instead of the road going around the mountain, its goes right through it! March 1, 2011 at 5:40 AM. Ooops, ive just been informed that I spelt dam wrong! March 1, 2011 at 6:59 AM. Random Japandom!: January 2011

http://randomjapandom.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 22, 2011. So I’ve been here for about a month now, and have gotten a couple days off here and there to check out a few things. Some sweet restaurants, uber stylish clothing stores and crazy stores like Doncoyoties that contain everything from wedding rings to groceries, and electrics to butt pillows! And since we were dining at such a nice establishment we decided to get splurge and get a couple bottles of saki! Finally the meal came out and we realized that we all order kids meals!

Random Japandom!: December 2010

http://randomjapandom.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 30, 2010. Japan’s driving conditions just got increasingly dangerous (abunai in japanese) because I am now officially allowed to drive in this country! The windy snow covered mountain roads, driving on the opposite side, using mirrors to see around the corners, and the language barrier are only minor details! Saturday, December 25, 2010. Santa had a very busy week here in Japan and was seen numerous times around the Norikura Village;. Santa shredding the gnar at Mount Norikura! See hil...

Random Jane | Here there be tumbleweeds

Here there be tumbleweeds. Running on MT: 6/2002 – 5/2006. So hey, thanks to A. I finally got my hands on the October/November issue of Asimov’s. Which just happens to have my story “Where the Time Goes” in it. Very exciting! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. September 16, 2009. I’m making the transition from Go! I also discovered an embarrassing factual glitch at the very beginning of the novel, in the bit I excerpted on my Write-a-thon page:. The books whisper to me. They want to know who I am.

Random Janice Lee

Thursday, October 21, 2010. Years ago, there were some great motivational speakers. They were kings in their fields. They took a lot of flack. People made fun of those silly, positive thinking, plastic smiling people. Their critics said life really wasn't like that for anyone. But I am here to tell you that we can have some amazing days. Sometimes, we can open our eyes, feel the blood cruising through our veins, and remember that today is the first day of the rest of our lives. Wednesday, October 20, 2010.

Adventures in Japan

Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Tango Peninsula Road Trip! Living in Kyoto City we are spoiled with many things to do. It seems like there is a festival every other week! But we sometimes forget about the rest of Kyoto prefecture. That's why I always recommend my friends to take a trip North to the Tango peninsula especially to see the famous view of Amanohashidate. Which is sometimes called the "sky bridge to heaven" for it's famous pine covered strip of land cutting through the sea. There is also a smaller...

I'm the opposite of a green thumb. I’m the good guy! April 7, 2015. April 7, 2015. The other day River and I were playing a game where we both have a team of several matchbox size cars and the two teams do “battle”. Our battles include everything from simple crashing, to lasers, to gathering power and strength from absorbing star and planetary energy from parallel universes that eventually collide in the form of our two hands holding our team leaders. Was the bad guys! November 13, 2014. November 13, 2014.

the good, the bad, and the ugly thoughts of Jarvis

The good, the bad, and the ugly thoughts of Jarvis. Sunday, November 17, 2013. If you’ve bumped into our family in the last five months, you’ve seen a definite difference. We are now a family of four (five if you count dogs). We’ve added a second son (and this one) via adoption. If you haven’t seen us and therefore you met him, then maybe you’ve seen pictures. But, in case neither of the above is true for you. I hope you’ll read our story and rejoice with us for all that God has done in our lives. And, w...
